For you guys who are now in the final stage and the ones who have passed it already ( getting ready for the interveiw)

Did you ever get to the point where you began thinking : maybe, just maybe this is not the right thing to do? or I have waited too long and I really can't wait another 2 months or so . so I am ognna give up?or even have nightmares about you SO being unfaithful and or just using you?

I feel deep down this is all because of the fact that I am getting nervous tha I am starting to feel this way but I can't help it. I am waiting on my husband to tell me if Package 3 has arrived yet. they said they mailed it already. I have been awakign with cold sweats since Monday and today his sistertold me some negative stuff. I am thinking I should get out, ubt I can't I love this man too much and I can't see me going through life without him.

How did you guys handle this part of it?

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha (sorry I couldn't resist :hehe: ). Girl you have a serious case of the jitters. I just want to isolate something that you said: "I am thinking I should get out, ubt I can't I love this man too much and I can't see me going through life without him."

:lol:  , I get that so much but I can't help but laugh each time.

I know, but I just can't seem to get over that his family is the ones trying to get me to change my mind. I guess it really is the jitters.........Funny thing is I did not feel this much fo rour wedding day B)

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. Just wanted to say hi quick, I just got home from the hospital. Elias is still there, he's having some blood issues - his and mine didn't mix. As soon as Michael gets home we're going to go sit with him.

He's so precious, and we're so in love. I will definitely post pictures once we get him home and get settled.

Congrats to all the approvals I missed - my prayers are with you Jax and Popcorn.

Take care everyone, and thanks for posting about Elias Mindy!

Congratulations Julie and Michael! (F) I'm glad he decided to come before Labor Day. He would have been teased the rest of his life LOL

I'm praying that he will be home soon.

TGIF on this gloomy Friday morning! Hope everyone has a wonderful and restful weekend.

I have to work all weekend :crying::ranting::cry:

Did you ever get to the point where you began thinking : maybe, just maybe this is not the right thing to do? or I have waited too long and I really can't wait another 2 months or so . so I am ognna give up?or even have nightmares about you SO being unfaithful and or just using you?

How did you guys handle this part of it?

Yes, Yes, and Yes :blush: I think it's completely normal to have second thoughts and wonder if you are indeed doing the right thing. To make it worse many of us (myself included) had friends and family that were NOT supportive of what I was doing so they would fill my head with bad thoughts. The way I got over it is to realize that if I didn't try to make it work, I would wonder for the rest of my life what if? At the very worst, it doesn't work out and you both go your own ways. Hang in there girl. :luv:

i swear i must have to WORST luck ever!!!! i am in immigration HELL!!!!

You're almost there - hang in there

When I was going through the process we had everything ready - packet 3, police report, medical done, etc. - and then Hurricane Ivan hit Jamiaca right before I was supposed to fly down there for the interview :o:angry: The Embassy was closed indefinately due to power outages and the airports were closed for a couple days. I had to re-schedule my flight down and both of our flights home. It was a nightmare. And to top it off I had more than one person tell me that it was a "sign" that it just wasn't meant to be  Anyway, I had to wait some more, but finally I got to bring my baby home with me. It will all be worth it in the long run. Good luck ;)

Thanks for posting your interview experience!! It was SOOO helpful! I try to read as many of these kinds of things as I can, because I want to be as prepared as I can...I'm still waiting on our K-1 approval (which should occur soon  ), and I am just trying to figure out our next steps!! I just think I would be a nervous wreck at the interview!! How did you handle it??

I wish I had a good answer for you. But all I have is the truth of how I "handled" (and I use that word loosely :D ) the stress associated with the interview, the paperwork, the idea of marrying a man I've never lived with, the idea of marrying a younger man, etc., etc....

I prayed. I second guessed myself. I talked to my fiancee. I talked to friends and family who were supportive. And those who were not. I picked fights with all of them. I journaled. I read this website. I avoided my final paperwork. I dragged my feet buying the tickets and arranging the hotel. I fasted for 1 1/2 days and asked God if He would email me specific directions of exactly what I should do. I indulged every workaholic tendency I have and worked 9-12 hours a day. I watched Grey's Anatomy and Law & Order Reruns. I ate jellybeans. I drank wine. :pop: I worked out (followed by a good smoke of course).....

And then, finally, I gave up. And I just accepted that for the first time in my life, I was in a situation that I could not control. And I realized that unless I was ready to walk away, I was just going to have to take it day by day and trust in God that everything would work out the way it should - and whatever happened, it would be ok.

And so far, it has!

congratz julie!!!! i am sure your likkle boy will be home before you know it!!!

Jax so sorry to hear that!! my thoughts are with you!!!

i am in battle with the embassy....they must have changed things around because you no longer have to push buttons you get someone on the phone tell them what you want and they connect you to who you need to talk too...well i think they need to back to school to learn how to put people on hold!!!!! everytime they put me on hold they hang up on me :angry::angry: i am so frustrated!!! i told mike he will have to go to kingston and get the paper and it was like he was getting what i was telling him...he said no no they will send it to me...and i said MIKE LISTEN TO ME!!! i need to know when it is so i can get my days off and my plane ticket and just get everything in order!!! AAHH! i feel like pulling out my hair sometimes!!!!

hope all is well for everyone else!!!!! (L)

I really empathize with your situation. We NEVER received ANY of the information the embassy said they sent. Not one shred of paper. My fiancee had to go to Kingston (at great expense for rental car, etc.) and pick up every one.

At the time my fiancee kept saying "baby, don't worry yourself. It will soon come..." I won't even tell you how I responded to that one!

But I did want to tell you that they gave me my interview date over the phone. I called twice to confirm it before I bought my tix.

Best of luck!

Hi all,

I have an interview question, can I punch holes in the documents that I am sending? of course I won't punch holes in the form I-134 or its evidence.... but the copies of the I-130 & 129f and rfe's I have so much stuff I have about 100 pages. so I got a flexible binder, and some dividers....I figured I could hole punch everyhting and send it that way... it would be neater, and it would be easy to access. I'm not sure if they keep the documents or make copies or anything like that. Any advice on the best way to send these documents...

:help:

I don't know whether you are allowed to or not. I can tell you that I had all my paperwork neatly organized with tabs and a nice cover note on top explaining what was there, the order, etc.... when my fiancee saw this he said "What dat".... "Jamaicans don't use folder dat - just put it in an envelope...." Then, when we got to the embassy and the first woman who called us for interview just grabbed my paperwork, paged through to get the documents she needed, and threw (yes, threw) everything else back at me. Maybe she was having a bad day - maybe he's never seen a folder - but I don't get the sense that presentation scores a lot of points. :)

Having said that, the organization really did make ME feel better. And it helped me calm my nerves.

It 's been awfully quiet today. I worked. I have been selling Rainbow swingsets part time on weekends both Saturday and Sunday but now it is only on Saturdays. I miss the money but it is nice to have a day to myself.

I'm at work and not happy about it :ranting: I am seriously looking for another job. I will have to take a huge pay-cut but I can't handle working all these crazy shifts and every weekend any more. I don't remember what it was like to actually look forward to Friday because you knew you had the weekend off :( I don't even know what I want to be when I grow up :huh: I just know it's not THIS.

I have my Bachelor's in Business Admin. (BBA) with dual majors in Management and Marketing. Does anyone have any ideas of what types of jobs I can get? I've been with GM for about 5 years now so I haven't been out in the job market in awhile.

Is anybody out there? I'm bored out of my mind and I have 7 hours to go :bonk::clock:
