Can anybody give me a few pointers on how to steam fish

Season it up 'good good'. Make sure you use some pimento seeds (allspice), escallion and scotch bonnet pepper if you can find it. Add some okra, carrots and other veggies if you like that stuff. Place it all in a pan with butter on a very low heat and a 'tups' of water. Leave it there covered until it looks and smells cooked.

Mail me some when it's done!

Call your local police station and ask them. They're the ones who are going to give you the ticket if it's NOT accepted! So they should know. I would think you could drive on your Jamaican license for a while. (Do NOT call 911! Call the non-emergency number ;) )

Called the local police for the heck of it (and because I really need something to do) and I quote"

"Ma'am, that's a really weird question that no one here can answer for you. Please call the DMV."

What did I tell you? I may as well have come from Mars.

You've got to be kidding me  And we think Kingston is messed up.....

My wonderful husband found some scotch bonnet peppers for me in in Atlanta and will be bringing them home tonight. He couldn't figure out how to pack them without crushing them so he put them in his sneakers!

I personally think that is THE WORSE decision you could possibly make....living apart. TRUST ME, you NEED to live together, especially that you have a child, because the situation is WAY different than it would be if it was JUST the 2 of you. What happens when you get married on the 90th day and you "move in", and you DO NOT get along????? and who is to say that after the 3 months he (or your daughter) says that "they aren't ready"????

I have read all the posts and I have to say I 10000000% agree with what Kelly is saying. YOU are the one who fell in love with this man -- not your daughter or your family. HE needs to live with the two of you. If by living with you and your daughter you feel you are "pushing" him on her -- then, hate to say it but, maybe he should stay in Jamaica.

Her K2 expires a year after your husband's POE. If it did then you will have to file a I-130 Petition for Alien Relative.

I totally agree. But trust me, I know how you feel. My daughter was 12 when Damien came here. She never met him..only a few phone conversations. We agreed if they didn't get along or have any problems..we would not get married. Not to say things will happen after you married but we would have not known if we didn't live together. Things worked out...much better than I thought. I make sure I divide my time with each one and we do lots of family things together.

Thanks to everyone for their opinion..... Ultimately, I will of course make the best decision for my family (myself, fiance, and daughter). We will be discussing it more and come to an agreement as a family unit.

My son and daughter do not live with me; but come every single weekend, all summer, and any day they have off. My son calls Andre every single day after school to chat and several times a night. My daughter loves to spend time with him. She had met him once when I first met him. My son had met him once and then stayed with us in JA for a week.

Sometimes I think they would rather spend time with him then me, for all the attention I get.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

I think my questioned was answered.

Can anybody give me a few pointers on how to steam fish

Season fish with seasoning salt, fish seasoning, black pepper, scotch bonnet pepper, salt. Leave it in the fridge overnight to marinate.

Put some butter or margarine in a saucepan which has a lide. Saute some carrots, chocho (if you can find it!), pimento seeds, garlic clove sliced, thyme for maybe 5 mins.

Add the fish and put enough water in to come up the sides of the fish but not cover them. Make sure flame is lowww, 2 or 3.

Cover the pot and simmer, no need to turn the fish.

Fish is readt when the flesh flakes off easily, about 15 mins.

Naturalization
