to all the ladies who are having there men come over...we are NOT trying to scare you or change your mind....but you need to know that HE will change....things WILL happen that will make you second guess yourself...

Not 'getting into anything' with you, but you've basically stated that ALL men WILL change....Fair enough some MAY change, or 'be prepared because MY husband changed' but it is incorrect and stereotypical to infer 'HE will change'....

In defense, I would say of course he will change. Everything around him will change. And, you will change too, because new situations will be added. I personally believe each and every one of us changes every single day. Now is that for the good or for the bad? It all depends on who/what you encounter.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I think part of the problem with unrealistic expectations stem from behaviour of visitors to Jamaica. If you are anything like me, I save the whole year to go to Jamaica, I comb through the sales to buy new clothes to wear there, I set myself a generous daily spending limit etc. When people there see how you 'live' for the two weeks or week you are there, they think that's how it is always.

Hmmm.... I never thought of it like this, but that is very true. I spend lots of money when I go on vacation - since it's only once or twice a year and you've saved up for it! When I was there we ate out every day - 2 or 3 meals day - went clubbing or to the bar every night, bought people drinks, etc.. And then of course, the shopping  I always spent lots of money shopping when I went. No wonder Tony thought I was so rich

We are very compatible so we rarely fight. Minor issues with the drinking, ganga (making friends in the local park nearly drove me to chop him up!), peeing in the back yard, carrying the machette around outside......Our biggest issue has been with family and friends calling and asking for money.

 Girl, you have me cracking up!!! I'm picturing the machette right now! Yes, Tony didn't understand either that you can't just whip it out here and pee in public :o He still tries to do it sometimes if he's been drinking. One time we were at the drive-thru for White Castle (at 2am after the bar) and he had to go. He was just going to jump out and pee by the dumpster :o Thankfully I convinced him to go inside and use the restroom!!!

I love your pic :luv: You guys make a really cute couple!

This is so funny cause Andre and I actually got into an argument about babies sleeping in cribs. He was looking through baby pictures of my son's nursery. He said "he slept in the other room? What if something went wrong?". I explained I had mother hearing and could hear pretty much every breath he took, plus, we had monitors. He was like "oh, no, babies sleep right next to their mother." I had to laugh.

I just cringe at that because it's so dangerous :o What if you roll over onto the baby in your sleep?!!!

Oh my we are so opposite. I would save just enough for air fare my 20 dollar room. We would go out to eat once at Margaritaville. I would usually just talk to my two girlfriends all day why Dwain went to work. Many trips I never went to the beach. My hubby thinks opposite of me that I don't have a lot. He was so mad when if I asked for the recpetion in the USA if everyone could donate to the Herbert Morrison music program. He said its our turn to recieve.

This is one thing we have never talked about. I should ask him. Thanks  Since we plan starting our family right away. My best friends her new born and one year old sleep in there bed room both in the bed. I thought that would kill a relationship and be dangerous.

I must admit even my son had a crib, he slept in my bed for his first year....Never came even close to rolling on him....I think maybe if the parents drank it might be a problem then....In Jamaica many people would think it was barbaric to put a small baby in another room, monitor or none....For me I was scared of the house catching fire and being unable to get him in time....paranoid I know!

That's so true. I think the biggest point that everyone (might) be trying to get across is that it's not gonna be like it was when you were on vacation.....

:lol: My girlfriends and I only did that here when we were really drunk in highschool. My best friend always reminds me that she went to the bathroom on our front tree. I am country folk so when we go to the farm we had no option but outside. Reminds me of those family trips when dad had to pull over the car. My proffesor told me all the guys she tookk up did that I was like no way :o

It's so dangerous!! Not too long ago I typed a psychological evaluation of a girl who did just that. She rolled over on the baby while she was sleeping and suffocated her. It was really sad...

Wow...scary stuff....Never ever heard of it happening in Jamaica though...I was always a heavy sleeper until I had my son, the slightest sound and I'd wake...Even now, I'll be in my room with the door open, he'll be in his own room and I'll hear him sneeze and wake up....
