Medical question. Husband just received his appointment letter. Does he need to go to a local doctor to get blood work done and other various shots? Or do they do everything at the Hospital? He will be going to the MoBay Hospital. Should he show up early when he gets his day? And how early should he show up? :help:

I have <heard> the shots are cheaper from a "local" doctor than from MoBay. Have him find out what shots he already has and get his vaccination card from his doctor to bring with to the "medical." That way he (hopefully ) won't have to pay for "extra" shots.

I believe they only schedule the appointments to start first thing (8:00am ??) in the morning.

It's interesting. Roy works nights -- 6 nights a week -- so I am pretty much used to being home alone when I get home from work. AND -- he just got a new job and is working weekends during the day.....so, I've kinda gotten used to those hours too -- I do miss him in bed -- I have taken to sleeping diagonally across the bed -- don't know why. It's pretty funny!!

The dogs are making me crazy.....they are so used to having him around during the day to occupy them....they have just been monsters since he left. And....they do miss him too!

I wish the weather was better around the Chicago land area. Its nice and warm but been raining on and off all day and the fog.

I know!! There is so much I could be doing in the backyard but it's just so wet and muddy....perfect to catch up on movies & reading. I SHOULD be cleaning.....well, there's always tomorrow

Thanks Mindy I already told him that but he won't listen to me he is getting bent out of shape over nothing. He got the letter and said I have to do this and that. I said yep and I have done a lot of the work do your part. Frustrating he said no he is going to the hospital so i sent him a couple hundred yesterday for the medical. Do men ever listen.

  poor dogs are they getting into everything?

Diagonally across the bed  okay does Roy take up most of the bed? I understand missing someones warm body in bed. We are getting a king bed this week so I don't have to sleep on a corner of the bed with Dwain on top of me. He is so tall and big he hogs the bed because he aint use to sleeping with anyone. At least he doesn't snore  .

Spring cleaning inside I guess I will wait for that until Monday.

SO called a minute ago to ask how I was I said bored because I have no money to shop because of this silly visa. He said I am sorry I said I will live but he better call me at midnight to say goodnight. ugh

Just got a call from my fiance. The embassy called him with an appointment to bring in the DS230.

wow the embassy actually called him? that's great! that makes things much easier for you. gosh jlvr i wish things would move fast with me like they are for you. you're so lucky.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it myself that they called him. I emailed them twice to get information, they never even responded to the second email.

I'm pretty sure that the appointment is to pick up packet 3, but I just sent him the DS230 and the appointment is not until next month. So he can drop it off, and it would be so nice if he could get his interview appointment that day. I know it's not going to happen, but still.

Things have moved pretty quickly, much more quickly than I anticipated they would. Still seems like forever, though. It won't matter until I'm picking him up at the airport and I see him walk out. That's when I'll relax a little.

I am so HYPE right now! I just booked my flight to Jamaica to see my baby...April 22!! This will be my son's first time going and we will be there to celebrate his 10th birthday. My fiance is already busy planning the bashment. The best birthday a kid could ask for. Just wanted to share my good vibes with you all!

Have a great time. I'll be going soon, also.

Joneise,

Where is your land in JA? That is awesome that you guys want to move there someday. We were talking about it the other night on saving up to buy a house or town home there with in the next 10 years. Does anyone else want to move to JA in the future. Dwain got so mad at the appointment letter he said if he has to do anything else I am moving down there. Il have done most of the work so I told him to do his share. We would love to have a house to

live in for the summer months down there. Wish it could be winter but being a teacher that won't work. I would like to retire early and move. My past professor said I could be the Head Music teacher at Sam Sharpe teachers college when my friends Sharon retires in the next 15 years. A lot can change in that amount of time. To day dream and wonder.

Just got a call from my fiance. The embassy called him with an appointment to bring in the DS230.

Congratulations

Thanks. After I thought about it, I figured it's probably an appointment to pick up packet 3. But he'll have the completed DS230 by that time so he can hand it in.

Ricardo I see your reading... Are you all packed and ready to go??

((((((HUGS)))))) and prayers are traveling with you

Safe travels to all the Yardies heading out for their interviews

Ditto.

It must be a big and tall man thing. He's got a king size bed and he still hogs the bed!! Nuttin like waking up not being able to move due to having a heavy leg pinning you down to the bed  Thank god you don't have to deal with the snoring! Neil usually doesn't snore either.... But when I was there last week :whistle: .... He was snoring sooo bad that I thought for sure the all the wild life in Jamaica was gonna come running to the house :lol::lol:

Has anyone heard from Eric?? I wonder if him and his wife have gotten their interview rescheduled??

Oh yeah, I hope that things are going okay for them.

For everyone that filed K1 - did you plan for and have a simple wedding soon after your fiance arrived? Did you do anything bigger later on? Were the guests mostly your friends and family?

Still planning ahead.

I am planning to have a simple wedding, then something bigger in a year. I need to recover a little from the process and all the trips to Jamaica

That's what I was thinking, also. A small, simple ceremony and then a larger one on the same day a year later. That's what I'm hoping to pull off. :D

Sounds like we have the same plan. I am considering something small maybe in Las Vegas.

I was considering my backyard.

That should be nice.
