Hi Dee! Hope everything is going well in your camp! How are your kids doing?

Kids are doing well, thanks for asking. They are on spring break now , we are going to Branson, Mo. in a couple of days, for few days. All is well here, taking it one day at a time. (L) Still awaiting green card approval. I am optimistic that we should have an approval by the end of the month, or at least hear something. We were told we should have a response to our last inqury within 30 days. Our EAD should come in a couple of weeks. Pending approval hubby has two jobs waiting on him :dance: He's been on two job interviews, he claims went rather well, one of which wanted him to start right away  Other wise he's has been busy repainting our townhouse back to its original color and training to become a financial planner/representative for Prime America (they already have him convensed there is no talking him out of it  ...that keeps him very busy, he's gotten quite a few folk signed up already. :o We are moving to a much smaller townhouse where we will save 1/2 what we are paying in rent now. Well be able to buy our dream house in a couple of years. I am busy with the kids and started back with classes this week so I don't have time for too much of anything. I'm real over due for a real vacation. :help:

And how are things with you?

We have an interview for May 3rd at 12:15pm  Finally he should be here by the end of the school year. Then we will have all the time to be together alone and look at each other with nothing to say. He took my ear off on the phone not about the interview but something was happening with the cricket game. Cricket I just don't get it. We have Cub tickets for July so he will have to sit threw that with my family LOL and he won't get it.

Congratulations, I'm glad you finally have a date!

Wow, looking at your timeline, it took six weeks just to get your interview date. At that rate, even if the embassy gets my application this week, we won't even know the date until the end of May. :(

Jlvr I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it took 14 weeks for us to get an interview once my case was received in Kingston. That is 100 days ugh. Hang in there  .

Where is Mindy today it is too quiet here.

I'm glad you got it.... I've been on the phone with them all day trying to get info on ours. They are so uncooperative with Americans! I finally called my fiance and told him he would have to deal with them because I don't think the women working there like American Women!!! He called, and they say he will be able to pick it up tomorrow.... after telling me he couldn't pick it up, although it isn't ready today and should have been ready yesterday....

Word to the wise.... get the no-impediment early.... I am praying he actually gets it tomorrow, since our interview is the 27th!

Does anyone know if there is an "expiration" on this? If not, it probably is a good idea to get this one out of the way as soon as you can. This should probably be put at the top of the "things to do list"

Hi Anna :)!

I have no idea why it took so long but it did. Maybe it could be because they moved and they are behind. I think someone told me they were behind and said I would have to wait 3 months to get an interview date.

our checklist (packet #3) also does not say anything about a letter of intent.....do you all mean one like what was filed with I-129F only with a more current date??? someone must have pulled the checklist for us out of their ###! i'm calling the embassy to get another checklist cuz ours says NOTHING about this letter, a marriage certificate, or bank statements(just a bank letter)..

She is just beautiful  I LOVE dogs. I've always had one ever since I was a little kid. Tony's biggest complaint about the dog being in the house is all the dog hair  But, I don't allow him (the dog, not Tony :P ) on the furniture or in the bed.

oh rhonda, she is so baaaad! she has separation anxiety so while i'm not home she's chewing on the woodwork. she also helps herself to any dirty dishes in the sink. i mean this dog will actually take the dishes out of the sink! i've lost count of all the spatulas she's ruined over the years. i used to crate her in a metal cage, but she's managed to break out of it so many times that it's permanently warped. plus she was getting really bad abrasions from squeezing out of the still-latched door. she's ruined the darn thing.

minfay, during the summer when i'm not working, she's the sweetest dog ever. but once i start working she gets neurotic on me. for 4 years my fiance has been making remarks about how dogs shouldn't be inside. i highly doubt he'll go for my mia sleeping in the bed between us. your other half is really open-minded for a jamaican! lol

Finesse- The letter of intent is NOT on my checklist either. There is an example of one on this site that I typed up and had notarized, just in case. I have another letter of intent from my 129 package that I did NOT notarize so Im just trying to be safe, not sorry, again. Our checklist DOES say something about bank statemetns and a marriage certificate. Perhaps our checklist is from package #4, the last one you check before the interview and if might be an old checklist, we've have been waiting a lONG time. Feel free to Pm me if you have any questions.

I have three who have separation anxiety -- and I am not talking about Roy

Slash -- my boy -- he ate one couch and numerous shoes. Axl -- my girl -- she ate two holes in the wall, the wood stairs and she too broke out of her cage. She was bruised and bloody from prying the metal apart. Lola -- my mongrel -- she ate TWO couches AND my vertical blinds. Not to mention countless ornaments off the Christmas tree, the outside fence and every pool "toy" that we had. I have tried everything to calm them down.....nothing works. That is, until Roy got here. They all just LOVE him and have turned into different dogs since his arrival. <Actually, Slash & Axl grew out of their problems -- Lola on the other hand....she will never grow up  >

They are so spoiled -- I was so nervous about how he was going to react to them. He would always ask me where they slept -- ha, ha -- in bed with me!!! I am very lucky. Hopefully you will be too!!
