Yes I will be going to the interview. Looking at plane tickets right now. Question how long did your guys interview last? There is a flight out of Kingston at 3:20pm would that be cutting it to close or should we spend two nights in Kingston?

Thanks everyone for the support. I am wondering if he should just stay and fly back to the USA in June with Elmhurst College. I might suprise him and go down with the college in June. What do you guys think about that one. They usually go May 31st through June 10. I could get a really cheap airfare that way with a group discount. She usually only has us pay for the whole 10 days 700 dollars. I am thinking airfare would be 300 dollars and he would have a lot of friends with him on his first big plane journey to Chicago.

Next week I am getting a king bed over spring break and getting rid of my full bed. It will be werid after meeting it only took 9 1/2 years to be together.

ahahah :help: Question should he schedule his medical now 2 weeks before the interview? Good advice on getting the shots done at a local doctors office. I will let him know that.

All the best with interviews tomorrow. Can't wait to here from Pam.

I would wait until June for the discount price unless you are in haste. Yea you could make the appt for the medical now instead of waiting later and possibilty they're booked.

Hi Jamie.....Have a good weekend everyone else (F)

Hi Dee! Hope everything is going well in your camp! How are your kids doing?

hello everyone,

quick question - did anyone who got a blue paper at the embassy have to pay the $100 at paymaster again? we got all the way through the process, through the interview even, and THEN they said about the i-864 needed for our co-sponsor. i don't think we have to pay it again just to drop off the papers they need, but i'm certainly not going to ASSUME anything where they are concerned... :) any info would be greatly appreciated...thanks! :)

You do not need to pay again. We got a blue slip as well and we didn't go back to the embassy for 2 months and didn't have to pay again. Don't worry over it.

thanks SO much...! :)

No Problem :)

Hey Jamie :luv: What have you been up to girl? We miss you on here!!!

Hi  So much has been going on! I miss you all too  So from the looks of it we need to come up with a few juicy topics to discuss to get things heated up in here. Any ideas?

Congrats BelwinMills! I know everything will be fine for your interview. I bet you are so excited.

darlene- thanks for complimenting my name. would you believe i forgot my name twice and had to re-register here on VJ with different names? lol i'm such a dork!

I just love your little picture of the dog's nose! :luv: I have a yellow lab and it looks like it could be him!! Do you have a dog?

thanks rhondapayter. the dog in my avatar is a weimaraner. they're usually a very pretty silvery-gray color and kinda look like a lab only with short hair. some people say my weimaraner looks like a horse because of her coat and muscular build.

here's a pic of her. she's 9 years old and my fiance has his heart set on kicking her out since (like many jamaicans) he thinks that dogs are dirty and should be kept outside. wait til he sees her sitting on the couch and sneaking into bed. lol! that's my baby.

Just another tidbit of information (and/or suggestion).......

Instead of paying for passport photos upon passport photos..... I had one of Craig's passport photos that he gave to me (in the very beginning) and I brought it home and made copies on my copier/scanner at home onto FUJI photo film and so he had a TON, but it only cost me $4.00 for 12 sheets of glossy film paper. He had about 15 photos that I copied.

If anyone has capability of doing that....and getting it to your SO.....it saves in the extra expense!

Kelly

I tell everyone the same thing except if you take the picture and go to somewhere they have the Kodak picture maker you can make a sheet of passport pictures for under 50 cents. I did that with my passport pictures and the ones we just sent in for the AOS.

$7.99 for 2 pictures. Highway robbery....

i thought that was awful expensive for 2 photos as well. i went to walgreens for my passport photo for the I-129f and didn't bother looking at the final product until i got home. i thought, it's a passport photo, how can someone mess that up? well, when i went to attach it to my petition, i saw that my photo was positively orange! it looked horrible. i went back to the sales associate and had her retake it.

since passport photos are so dog gone expensive for us, i thought it would be for my fiance too. he says that they are really cheap in jamaica.

Yeah I am going to have him make it now 2 weeks ahead of the interview. My dad told me get his ticket 2 weeks after the interview. He is going to get it for him. Dwain is whinning he can't go to the ATI party in Negril this summer. Too bad he is hanging out with his boy tonight and enjoying he said his last 2 months there. I told him to live it up for his last birthday there.

Do you pay extra for the hospital to express the results to Kingston?

Medical appoitment 2 weeks ahead of time enough or 3 weeks?

Thanks for all the help. Jax
