We should make tons of pages for Rhonda to read tonight. Hmm what else. How are you Rhonda anything new??? Alright I need to get off VJ I am becoming addicted not good. :hehe:

You guys are so funny! I'm sitting here at work at 4am being entertained by all your posts/messages :dancing: Yes, there is something new on my end. Tony had a near-death experience today :o As he was exiting the freeway, he was driving down the off ramp toward a traffic light. He had his foot on the brake when all of a sudden the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and the car was no longer stopping! He flew out into the intersection and almost got plowed into by a semi :o:crying: He turned really sharp and luckily the road inclines a bit there so he eventually rolled to a stop. Thank God he didn't hit anyone or anything. He was so shook up though. He realized that his brake line had broken/rusted out/came apart - there was brake fluid leaking out everywhere. He drove home (about 3 miles from there) very, very slowly. I was so freaked out when he told me about. I couldn't stop hugging him and kissing him :crying:

Oh my goodness, I'm glad that he's okay. That's so scary.

hello everyone,

sorry it took so long to get on here, just got back last night...congratulations jodie! so happy for you guys...

we didn't get through so smoothly...there are some changes in the affidavit of support stuff if you have a co-sponsor, and as soon as i can wrap my brain around the disappointment and details of how things went down, i'll write it all out...for now, we got a blue paper saying that we have to bring in a different form...otherwise i think everything is okay...right now i'm just sad and unfocused... :) thanks so much for all the prayers and vibes from everyone...

while i'm thinking about it, wanted to just say that we went to kingston on monday before the interview and stayed at a great place called christar villas just down the road from the embassy...we paid $6950 jamaican for the night and absolutely LOVED the place and the people there...the room was simple but very nice, there is a restaurant and a pool and the vibes are just REALLY nice...the phone number for them is 978-8066/71 or 978-3933...email address:donnastennett@christarvillashotel.com or info@christarvillashotel.com...highly recommend the place...from there we walked about 10 minutes up to the embassy...

also, we took a bus from ochi to kingston...kind of a long journey and SERIOUSLY packed like sardines inside the bus, but the $500 jamaican it cost us to get there was awesome... :) i personally don't mind the bus, but its definitely not for some people... :)

will write more soon...again, thanks for all the prayers and vibes, and if anyone with upcoming interviews has any questions, i'll totally try to help answer them...

I'm sorry that you didn't get the visa approved, but I'm glad that you can go back. Do you have a date for that already?

Just starting the journey, haven't yet filed... Until today(2/12/07)!

I think I'm gonna have to re-do the DS156 forms. I've done them already and got the barcode generated. Do you think the info will be entered twice in the system? I think I need to change the way I entered the address.

sonshyne, i did a few copies of the ds156 before i finally got it how i wanted it...they (at the embassy) didn't seem to have any problem with the one i gave them...i don't think doing it multiple times will create any problem for you in the system...

Keishino, hang in there girl. Everything will work out in the end. Start bugging the Embassy for another date. My girlfriend also went on Tuesday and was turned away because her fiance had not received his police record. She e-mailed them Thursday and again Friday (yesterday) and they have him another date for the 27th of March.

WE ARE DONE!!!

Thank you for sharing your experience. The instructions they provide are so confusing.... it's a shame they put us through this  But, it is only a temporary setback.

I have a question about the way you filled out the forms online.... it may sound very #######, but I just want to cover all my bases.... For questions that were not applicable, did you put N/A, or Not Applicable? On the DS230 it clearly states to put N/A, but in the instructions I think they say put Not Applicable.... When filling out the 156 online, I think you have to put Not Applicable.... So, I am thinking for the 156 and 156K and 157, put Not Applicable. For the 230 Pt. I and Pt. II, put N/A.

Just want to get feedback of others that have already been through it.... am I being too paranoid???

Actually i just followed what the example forms from this site had - i was confused about what to put, too and ended up putting "none" in the spots that didn't apply to us on the ds156, 156k and 157 instead of either "n/a" or "not applicable"...on the 230 i put n/a. we turned all those forms in at the interview and they didn't have any problems with the "none". hope this helps...don't worry about being ####### - i think it is a good way to be under these circumstances... :-) if i can be of any more help please don't hesitate to ask... -kristine

I looked at the villa and they don't have any rooms available in April :o:huh:

Hello family,

I have been without internet for four days and feel like I have missed a lot.

Keishino- Im FEEL your pain. But am glad that you got another date.

Lovelyjodie-CONGRATS on your visa! I wish I knew what that means on your visa, but I dont. Sorry.

Darlene- Remind Susan that our interview is on the same day. What time is her's? Will she be going back for the other interview? Tell her to call me, if she wants.

Anyway, it seems that they are a lot more particular at the embassy now. You've got to pay attention to every little detail especially when the information is contradictory. I am considering hiring an immigration lawyer just to look over my "final" package before I go back again. Things just ARENT the same. :) Talk to you soon.
