Alright I need to get off VJ I am becoming addicted not good. :hehe:

Hi Michele how are you today?

:D I'm fine Jax. How are you?

And yes- you are so right. VJ is addicting. I usually check in at work at least once a day if I don't have monthly reports, and some nights I'm on for a couple of hours :help:

Jax, I know you're a music teacher- what's your major in music? Are you vocal or instrumental?(If this is not the right terminology let me know)

If we ever meet you have to show me the African drums!

Welcome Jengles.

Sarah have a great trip!

Michele great to hear your having a fine day :)!!

I first started to major in vocal performance but didn't like my teacher so I changed. Just like Music Business started that didn't like the teacher.

My major was instrumental primary instrument clarinet and secondary sax.

I can teach K-12 music anything choir, band, strings you name it I am qualifed. Just got done with 2 applications in the Chicago Burbs.

Take lots of photos, you can host them in Photobucket and avoid paying for extra pictures.

How does that work? I only posted one pic because I didn't want to pay more $$$

You need to sign up for a Photobucket account, then when you go to sell your item it has an option for hosted photos, just click that and enter the URLs for the photos in your Photobucket account.

Belwin, regarding the postage question, if you have kitchen scales, you can weigh the items on there and then check the cost on the USPS website. Otherwise, weigh yourself on your bathroom scales, then weigh yourself holding the item and calculate how much it weighs :)

I will be flying into MoBay and renting a car near the airport. I've rented before from UCAL's Car Rentals & Tours - 876-952-3836. I was very please with the experience. Ask for "Flattop". It is right across the street from the Airport - They will have a car pick you up. The address is 32 Queen's Drive.

Are their prices pretty good? I've rented from Hertz and Thrifty in Montego Bay and paid WAY too much money <_< I'm looking for a cheaper alternative next time.

CALLING IDT PHONE CALL USERS PAST OR PRESENT!!!

Did any of you guys recieve IDT Corpotation information on a court order? There is a class action law suit going on for people who had purchased phone cards from IDT from Jan 1997 until Jan 22, 2007.

Yeah, I got one last week. I'm glad they're getting sued. They're a huge rip-off. :ranting: That's why we stopped using them. I just LOVE ringyard.com - thanks Jonesie :luv: They are the best deal yet.

We should make tons of pages for Rhonda to read tonight. Hmm what else. How are you Rhonda anything new??? Alright I need to get off VJ I am becoming addicted not good. :hehe:

You guys are so funny! I'm sitting here at work at 4am being entertained by all your posts/messages :dancing: Yes, there is something new on my end. Tony had a near-death experience today :o As he was exiting the freeway, he was driving down the off ramp toward a traffic light. He had his foot on the brake when all of a sudden the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and the car was no longer stopping! He flew out into the intersection and almost got plowed into by a semi :o:crying: He turned really sharp and luckily the road inclines a bit there so he eventually rolled to a stop. Thank God he didn't hit anyone or anything. He was so shook up though. He realized that his brake line had broken/rusted out/came apart - there was brake fluid leaking out everywhere. He drove home (about 3 miles from there) very, very slowly. I was so freaked out when he told me about. I couldn't stop hugging him and kissing him :crying:

Hi all and good morning.

Welcome to all the newbies and luck to ya on all the upcoming interviews!

Gosh Rhonda, glad to hear Tony was ok and so sorry bout his grandmother. My condolences regarding that, and so happy HE is ok, boy was that a scary experience.

I am so afraid of Lake driving and experiencing something like that, because frankly, he just is not that experienced with cars and their probs and our car (Mom's) is 25 years old now.

Sorry I havent posted, we got home from our cruise in Hawaii, had a fantastic trip, but I think the overnight plane flight and the staying up about 48 hours non stop taxed our immune system so bad (even tho we drank 4 airbornes) that we all came down with pneumonia, so have been fighting that for about 5 weeks now and the antibiotics didnt even want to touch it. Ended up we all got it, and then sis ended up giving it to her son, his wife and the baby too. I was soooo worried bout her but she came thru it better than any of us.

She is such a cutie, docs said not to worry bout her too much, and not even to consider her preemie anymore, as she has surpassed most babes in her age group as far as development! Wild huh? But is still getting the RSV shots, man I dont know HOW you would afford those without insurance, one shot (they require them every month thru the winter) is over $3,000!! It must have helped a LOT tho, cuz she didnt get down with this in her lungs near like we did, we all sounded like we were gonna die and felt like it too! I will try to get some pics up on Yahoo soon. She is still bald as ever, looks like a boy,I laugh bout it, its so cute... but I do think when she gets hair, she will be a pretty girl, looks like!

Jax, I love the country, and I would move into a town of 6 in a New York minute, especially if it was still relatively close to things, thats just ideal. I think Lake would love something like that, I am surprised he doesnt want to live in the middle of nowhere like me, cuz he loves to grow things, but our cabin is 120 miles from the nearest city to work in. He DOES want 10 or more acres outside of the city, that he could still drive to work easily and stuff. I would also love some chickens, free range eggs and poultry are sooooo expensive but taste soooo much better... and I am beginning to be a big health nut since we have this stupid Lyme. Organic milk would be perfect too. Yum! Eating choices really make a big dif in how we feel, I have noticed so I am TRYING to be a good girl. I fell into awful eating habits in the last 15 years or so, and still trying give up my chips and doritos...

Well, Lake got a real taste of winter last Thursday. Oh it was awful. What a snowstorm and he had to go to work early. The schools were closed but they consider custodians emergency personnel, and I couldnt get my sisters stupid NON 4 wheel drive out of the driveway, and it got stuck in the drive, then the road, and Lake was shovelling, and I would rev the motor and we would move 2 feets, then he would shovel again, we would move two more feet, etc. Finally the truck slid around sideways in the road and I went back an forth enuff to turn it around, and get in the parking lot across the street, where they were plowing. I then got out our silly lil 25 year old Honda but it still slid around but MUCH improved. It took us 2 hours to get him to work, then I got home and they wanted me to MOVE THE TRUCK from the parking lot ASAP (relayed by the snowplow guy). I told the guy, I cant go anywhere until they plow the street! So he called the owner and he relented an said we could stay there til later in the day. This is the exercise class across the street, we have put up with them doing construction and construction workers for the last 3 years now, them parking across from the drive, in front of our house and blocking our mailbox, and he was worried his students wouldnt be able to fit in the lot? People were going to risk life and limb to come to exercise class when all the schools and universities were closed (and thats a big thing here, they NEVER close them). Ended up he had 4 cars in his lot later that day, sheesh. I was so mad, and I wanted to call him up and give him a piece of my mind!

Well, I guess I have outdone myself postwise! lol As always. I really need to break it up and get more hearts!

Hugs to all

Jill

I wanna share a story Lake told me bout work this week. And give me some input on what you think too please. Aggravates the HECK out of me, but nothin a body can do really, I reckon. He didnt want to say anything to anyone at work, but...GRRRR!

Anyhows....Lake was cleaning one of his regular classroom and found an envelope with 23.00 cash in it, and it was marked on the outside as well $23.00. It was right under the trash can, or in it, not sure which, that part got confused. So, he gave it to one of the guys that he works with closely, and said what should I do with this, as the supe was gone for the day. The other worker, (lets call him Dave) says, "oh, give it to me, I'll take care of it". So later, when Lake was finishing up this room, he noticed Dave had written the teacher a note with her name on the front, an put on her keyboard, where you had to remove the keyboard and open it to see it (so it was not intended Lake read it supposedly). It said something like... "Mrs Johnson.... then when you opened it...the note said...I found this envelope in the garbage when cleaning today...Thanks, Dave" .. and stapled the envelope with the money to the note.

Ok, I know its not a BIG deal, but dont you hate it when someone ELSE takes credit for your guys honesty????

Or am I just being petty?
