What is a No-impediment Certificate and why would someone need one. isn't the police certificate enough?

The No-impediment Certificate is confirmation that your Jamaican fiance is legally able to marry... meaning they are not married to anyone else (that is my understanding). The Police certificate shows if they have a police record. Totally different. The No-impediment costs $92 (US) if it needs to be expedited (7 days). Otherwise it will take a month - not sure of that cost. The police certificate costs $34 (US) if expedited (3 days). My fiance just got both today, so the wounds to our pockets are fresh...

Many people come to Shabbona state park from the city to camp and fish. The bad thing is that the Native Americans want back that land to build a casino

I would love to -- just to see how much everything has changed. I haven't been out that way in over 20 years.

I just got the map out -- of course, Sycamore.....I remember driving to Genoa one night because my roomie had a crush on a guy who lived there -- yes, we were stalking him. I seem to remember (or trying to forget) we got a heart shaped pizza (it was valentines day) and took it to his house.

The towns that sound really familiar are: Virgil, Cortland, Malta, Shabonna does sound really familiary but I don't remember ever going to a state park. I do remember a town -- maybe West of DeKalb....there was literally one stop light. It was so neat.....

The one stop light town is Waterman LOL that is were are USA wedding will be. Yeah the farm is just right outside of Shabbona. The state park is nice and you can camp there over night for 12 bucks. It is on the outskirts of town. Lots of deer really pretty. Malta is on my way to work. Malta and Cortland are the same school district in my town. Genoa is nice too a crush stalking of Mindy you guys are I use to do that in High School. Never heard of Virgil hmm wear is that at???

Anyone tried zoom.com to send money? If so how did you like it?

I never heard of it. We have an All-Access Debit Card I got from our local CX. I also gave him a card so I when he needs anything I always upload some money on it and he could use it at any ATM in JA. We save a buddle on money transfers and he has ton of receipts!!! I also try to keep a certain amt on the card for emergencies on his end.

I can't believe I leave tonight!

But at least I think I covered everything in my packing, I am going to take my BC for Marlon rather than mailing it as well as the letters I copied. The rest of the paperwork he will need I will compile when I return. I can't wait to see him, it's hard to believe that it has been almost 6 months since I have seen him! This is also my time to grieve the loss of mom and share my pain with my love. I have to say that I have too much joy in my heart to be overshadowed by too much sadness, he and I will be together here in Arizona sometime this year! Can't say I will miss academia during the time I am gone! lol

I will check in from time to time today at work however I keep getting the server load is too high to check for new posts!

It's just about that time that Rhonda should be waking up -- she doesn't get on-line until she is at work at midnight though.....

Did any of you guys recieve IDT Corpotation information on a court order? There is a class action law suit going on for people who had purchased phone cards from IDT from Jan 1997 until Jan 22, 2007.

The settlement will provide up to 20 million dollars of refund to PIN numbers that consuemers can use to make free domestic phone calls. All clainms must be made during a six month time it may start as early at June 16, 2007.

What is this lawsuit about you ask?? Six lawsuits were filled already.. That the company failed to inform consumers sufficently about the rates and charges for its prepaid and recharable calling cards, and thearby violated various state consumer protection acts and other laws.

i'm sending it tomorrow....you know even though it was really hard to fill out it was just a pain...and to get all supporting documents together and photo copied was just a real pain....but yes it is finaly done and ready to get sent out....

What photos? Yep, it wasn't too hard but a real pain in the butt and wallet..........
