My hubby did not get his police report done today. They told him he need to go to another place first before he came back to the station by the time he got to this place it was closed. So know he is upset that he has to go again on Friday. Do you guys know what he was talking about. Kingston is a hall from MoBay so I understand his frustration. :crying: I am praying everything will go smoothly on Friday keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi,

Yes, he had to go to the police headquarters to pay for the cert. Then take the receipt to a place 34 Beal St. I think. Which is quite a distance from the police headquarters, for the prints and the certificate and yes the police dept close at 3.

Mindy thanks for the positive words. You could come out and visit sometime. We could have a big boom fire party for all the couples in JA. Just an idea. do you know what towns you went through? Many people come to Shabbona state park from the city to camp and fish. The bad thing is that the Native Americans want back that land to build a casino

I would love to -- just to see how much everything has changed. I haven't been out that way in over 20 years.

I just got the map out -- of course, Sycamore.....I remember driving to Genoa one night because my roomie had a crush on a guy who lived there -- yes, we were stalking him. I seem to remember (or trying to forget) we got a heart shaped pizza (it was valentines day) and took it to his house.

The towns that sound really familiar are: Virgil, Cortland, Malta, Shabonna does sound really familiary but I don't remember ever going to a state park. I do remember a town -- maybe West of DeKalb....there was literally one stop light. It was so neat.....

Alright ladies....it's been 60 days and I'm getting restless waiting for this NOA2. I have tried any and everything to keep me busy but today is not is one of those days. I have been checking online all day and of course no touches or changes in my status. I know it is still a tad bit early but MAN..I'm dying over here. Javon tells me to relax b/c it will take time but it's really starting to affect me now. I was ok up for the most part but I woke this morning w/nothing on my mind but this stupid NOA2. I think it's starting to bother me b/c I really really really want an interview around our b-day in Aug or the 1st wk of Sept.

I also think it has something to do w/this conversation I had w/an ex-adjudicator immigration officier. I don't know if anyone remember but my NOA date was a little wierd. Although the USCIS website says my petition was recv'd on 1/6 the actual NOA says 12/29. He of course told me to go by the date on the I-797 since it was issued in writing. So since then I'm been anxious b/c CSC is now approving I-130 petitions w/a Dec date. :(

Anna hang in there I know its tough. Mine took 55 days the average is 60-90 days. If you have problems call the sentors office to help. I have arranged a day to go in and have them look over all my items for the interview. They are very help full at Denise H's office. His office even called to check up on things to see how everything was going. Make sure you pm me when you get your NOA2 and I will help you with James Shortcuts they saved us like 2 months.

Dwain at times thinks I am going crazy at least we don't go crazy at the sametime. Both you and I have been together with our guy for almost a decade so it is very ruff.. If you need anything let me know.:D

Thanks Jax!!!

Denise H's office won't help me b/c I'm outside their jurisdiction and the congress ppl by me are a joke!!!

BelwinMills,

Sorry to hear about the troubles your Husband had trying to get his police report. I told my fiance about it and told him to get there early. He is also coming from MoBay. He left at 4am this morning, took a taxi over with another guy going for his police report. They got there at about 8am. He went through the same process that your Husband was told of, and paid to have it expidited. So he will be able to pick it up on the 13th (of course he will not be going that day because of the Cricket games.... He had me change his medical from the 13th to the 14th so he could watch it on TV...) After getting the police report squared away, he went the Spanish Town and paid for his No-Impediment Certificate. He had to pay $92 to have it expidited - 7 days, as opposed to 1 month!!! Pockets are looking a little skimpy now.... So, if everyone keeps their time schedule, he will be able to pick up eveything on the 19th, and have a few days in case something isn't right....

So, I would suggest telling your husband to leave as early as possible. Maybe he can beat the crowd and have time to get everything done.

Question?? How did you guys get to Kingston? Taxi, rent a car and drive, fly??? If you flew in could you rent a car at the airport and use your credit card? What hotel did you stay at and was it okay? Did the hotel accept credit cards?

Wondering if Dwain should drive from MoBay or if we should fly from Mobay to Kingston. I know we have discussed this before but I have forgotten. The Hilton is very expensive at 448 dollars. Is it really worth it to stay there the night before?

When I went I flew into Kingston. We had rented a car from someone Bert knew but you can rent cars at or near the airport. You have to be careful and research it first. Since he is coming from Mobay if he knows someone he can rent from seeing he has to drive to Kingston anyway that is cheaper. The Hilton is that expensive now because of the World Cup Cricket. All the hotels have doubled or tripled thier prices for this event.

We stayed at the Knutsfort Court but I do not know where the Embassy is now in regards to location.

Yes it is worth staying the night before especially if you have an early morning appointment. Do you do not want to start out at 2 am and driving those rodes in the dark. You have time to do your research and I am sure some who has an upcoming interview will tell you what hotels are closest to the Embassy.

Darlene,

I will be flying into MoBay and renting a car near the airport. I've rented before from UCAL's Car Rentals & Tours - 876-952-3836. I was very please with the experience. Ask for "Flattop". It is right across the street from the Airport - They will have a car pick you up. The address is 32 Queen's Drive.

I am flying into MoBay because my fiance lives right outside of MoBAy...... And...... because he want's to leave for Kingston the morning of the interview!!! He went there this morning for his police report and No-impediment, left at 4am, and got to Kingston by 8am in a taxi.... So I can't convince him that we won't be able to do the same on the morning of the interview, driving our own car, when the interview isn't until 12:45. I've pretty much given up that battle. And, since it will be so expensive to stay in Kingston because of the game, I am hoping for the best.

Hi

What is a No-impediment Certificate and why would someone need one. isn't the police certificate enough?

Welcome Jengles to the yardie thread!!!!

new certificate that states that you're free to marry -either you've never been married before or you're legally divorced.

call a register's office that he needs to go to to take care of the non - impediment

This is for K-1 visas only

hope that helps
