My hubby did not get his police report done today. They told him he need to go to another place first before he came back to the station by the time he got to this place it was closed. So know he is upset that he has to go again on Friday. Do you guys know what he was talking about. Kingston is a hall from MoBay so I understand his frustration. :crying: I am praying everything will go smoothly on Friday keeping my fingers crossed.

She look like she was about in her 20's. and the man ask her if didn't her husband had girlfriend somewhere. and how could she trust a divorced 53 yr old. it was so bad everyone felt bad for her , but she held ground and didn't let fluster her she told loved her divorced 53 yr old. She was approved.

The K1 is used strictly for people who are going to get married in the US within the 90 day period. He will not be able to go back to Jamaica during this time. After marrying you can apply for advance parole which will be a document that allows him to travel before he gets his green card. we applied for it and got our green card so soon after the advance parole arrived it wasn't really worth it. But sometimes it can take a long time to get a green card so if he knows he's going to need to go home then you should definitely pay and file for it.

I recommend the K1 because I had to be with my man asap.

Hey Darah, good to see you.

I wouldn't move to a town of 6 people to save money-but hey- that's me. I'm a city girl; I can't live too far from the mall.

Me too! I like going upnorth to my parents cabin (it's in the middle of nowhere) but I could never live up there. I would go crazy  But yes, I think the biggest question may be if the neighbors/town will accept an inter-racial couple. Sometimes it's a lot different in the country than the city.

I lived in both environments a home is a home if there is love. We can drive to get places. My family has owned this place since the 1800's. It would be difficult for some I know. Saving 800 dollars a month and having him concentrate on school would be awesome.

We could play are music as loud as we want and no one would say a thing. Knowing how Jaers player there music it would be a great place to rock on  .

Thanks for all your guys input on this.

I just sold some books online for 96 dollars that should help cover his medical cost. Thinking about ebay next. Has anyone sold things on Ebay?

All the love in the world wouldn't get me to live in a town that size. I need to know that there are people around me if I need assistance. I'm such a scaredy cat in the country. I'd be imagining that bears or other creatures would be around and that would scare me to death. Once I was in NC visiting- and the window was open at night and I swore I heard some animal breathing outside of my window. My mom kept putting on the light so I could see outside, but nothing was out there . I couldn't sleep the whole time we were visiting.

Green Acres ain't the place for me :P.

That's awesome that your family has held land that long . Since your family owns the house and the land on it and will allow you to try it out-why not see if it's suitable for your family. If you're both agreeable and up for it, go for it. $800.00 is a great amount to save per month.

My biggest concern, for me, I guess would be isolation. I wouldn't want to have to drive too far just to get the basic necessities. My basic necessities include a nearby mall and restaurants/clubs and cultural activities :goofy: .

I'm sure it is beautiful; not disputing that. I was out that way a few years ago and saw some absolutely gorgeous areas.

Jax has your husband said what he prefers? In his line of work he may prefer to have some peace and quite anyways. Do you think he will continue to be a musician?

He has never been to USA so he would not know. We will discuss it when he gets here. Mindy I use to live up in the burbs like you and I wouldn't trade it for the world. You could come join us :). Just to drive 12 miles in those suburbs took forever. The stars are very bright tonight. My parents said we could do a test run in the house this summer to see if we like it. There are people in that town all the time. There are 2 other familes that we know very well the church and even a park with swings and slides. In the summer there are adult league softball teams that play at the park. Dwain wouldn't be the first black guy to live there. We don't have bears at all maybe a skunk, deer, rabbits, possum or a coyote. We have coyotes here intown. If he gets a good job here we will stay. Dwain wants to go to NIU and be a music teacher. We will see if he gets any gigs in the Chicago area. Shopping malls are not my thing or going out to eat because simply right now we can't afford that. In due time.

Thanks Jodie he said traffic was so bad today he couldn't get to Duke street. Praying for Friday.

Question?? How did you guys get to Kingston? Taxi, rent a car and drive, fly??? If you flew in could you rent a car at the airport and use your credit card? What hotel did you stay at and was it okay? Did the hotel accept credit cards?

Wondering if Dwain should drive from MoBay or if we should fly from Mobay to Kingston. I know we have discussed this before but I have forgotten. The Hilton is very expensive at 448 dollars. Is it really worth it to stay there the night before?
