RE: 1-134 for interview......when i had mine...the interviewer was only interested in the latest w-2 tax return....she didn't care how much i was currently making or how much i made in the past....only wanted to look at my 05 taxes....she told me they were only looking at the most recent taxes....so if you filled 06 taxes and they are high then i would use those...take the other years as back up....but when we went to the 1st window the lady handed all the other years back to me....

Marlon's son will not be accompanying Marlon, he lives in England. Here's a question though, on one of the forms it says his son's birth certificate must be attached. Must I do this even if he's not coming?

I don't think you need to worry about that -- especially if he's not coming......I think they are only interested in people who will be living in the house (or coming from Jamaica).

Good Luck!! :jest: Travel safe!!

Same thing happend to us....she only took 2005 and handed all the rest back....BUT I had everything just in case.

Congratulations on having your info. ready.... now just take a deep breath and prepare yourself and your home for your Man. That is my next task after ensuring I have all the paperwork done. I need to clean out his side of the closet, clear out some drawers, and the cabinet under his sink in the bathroom.... and make his honey-do list of things that have been screaming for the attention of a man around this house.... ;) I can't wait!!! He may not be able to work right away for a paycheck, but he will definitely be working around the house

Your packet looks like a total winner. About your photos, my packet said 6 full frontal view of the facial features. Where did you see 2 sideview????

I'm not sure who posted it (I think Ricardo). The posting said 4 frontal and 2 profile shots were required....

That's a new one too! Prior to us filing (June, 2005) they wanted profile shots....then it changed to only frontal. Give them what they want

Good afternoon yaardies,

How is eveyone?

Just stopping in to say hhheeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyy.

Marsha

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

I wouldn't move to a town of 6 people to save money-but hey- that's me. I'm a city girl; I can't live too far from the mall.

Me too! I like going upnorth to my parents cabin (it's in the middle of nowhere) but I could never live up there. I would go crazy  But yes, I think the biggest question may be if the neighbors/town will accept an inter-racial couple. Sometimes it's a lot different in the country than the city.

I lived in both environments a home is a home if there is love. We can drive to get places. My family has owned this place since the 1800's. It would be difficult for some I know. Saving 800 dollars a month and having him concentrate on school would be awesome.

We could play are music as loud as we want and no one would say a thing. Knowing how Jaers player there music it would be a great place to rock on  .

Thanks for all your guys input on this.

I just sold some books online for 96 dollars that should help cover his medical cost. Thinking about ebay next. Has anyone sold things on Ebay?

hi everyone, i has been quite a day.my interview was today at 8.15, i arrive at the embassy at around 7.15 had to stand in the sun until they called in the person with 8.15 appointment. Went inside(courtyard) we were given a pink paper to write our passport number on,we were also told sign our police reports, DS230 part 1, to write our names on the back our four pictures, then a man took our appointment letters and we were asked to follow him inside the embassy. I had to sit and wait to be called to the prescreening area(which is called section A) then i was sent to sit in Section B. i was then called to a window where i give them my documents(all listed above) plus my birth certificate and marriage certificate, i was then told sit wait again, i was then called to have my finger print taken i was sent to sit and wait again, in Section C this where waited to be called for an interview. When i was called the interviewer asked if i had ever been out of jamaica. she asked how we met? where we met. how often did he visit since we met? how many people were at our wedding, which of his and my family were there? when did i meet his family member who attended the wedding. what does he do for a living, why didn't he visit me between 2001 and 2003.do we have children together or does any of us have children otherwise? did he still live with his mother?,she only asked to see pictures of our wedding(ishowed her 8,i had an album) i answered all questions to the best of my ability, then she said everything was in order and was going give a map to go across the street to pay for the deliver of my visa. she said the actually process can take 2 weeks so make no travel arrangements til i have the visa in my hand. I am so happy thank u all. It's not hard if u r prepared :dance::dance:

I buy and sell loads on Ebay.....

As for selling, for low value items, Paypal is fine. For higher value items, not so much.

Make sure you send ay items you sell via TRACKABLE means, if they pay via Paypal and you cannot prove they got the item, you won't be covered if they say they didn't and will have to refund if they claim.

Take lots of photos, you can host them in Photobucket and avoid paying for extra pictures.
