Rhonda....soooo sorry to hear about that!!!! both of you are in my thoughts....

Karin...wow...i'm sorry that happend to you....i think the embassy needs to not only send our SO a copy of the requirements paper but also the US citizen as well....because things change week to week there and what might have been for some of us may not be the same for others....there needs to be a basic sheet that clearly states what is need and how it needs to be filled out... when i went on my interview they were ONLY asking for 1 year of taxes....so i am not sure if they are still sticking to that or if they have gone back on the 3 year...also mike faxed me a copy of it...and on the paper it also includes visa's for the k-3 so some of the charges and things they ask are not for k-1...so just look over it carefully and double check with the USCIS and VisaJourney guides!!! wish you a fast interview!!!!!!!

Rhonda - My condolences to you.

Nannygirl - Thanks. Yeah, they sent him information for all kinds of visa, Im still tring to figure out what is what. But getting through it with everyone's help.

Is this true for CR1 to get everything notarized? Do you have to get this done special at the bank and from your tax man?

I just called the IRS today and asked for a Certified Tax Transcript for the last 3 years. I explained that it was for immigration, and the agent said they send transcripts out all the time on IRS letterhead and that would be sufficient for immigration. She didn't know about the "certified" part. She said I should get it in regular US mail in 7-10 days.... I have copies of my 1040's, and my W2's for the last 3 years. How do you go about notarizing or certifying them????

I have bank statements for the last 12 months, and will be getting a notarized letter from my credit union stating the date my account was opened, and my current balance...... These are alot of hoops to jump through.... I know it will be worth it.... but if you have my bank statements, why do you need a notarized letter from the bank??? Just venting....
