I didn't go back to JA without Damien going home to see his family first...we went on a short trip last March.

This July will be my second trip to JA without Damien. Last May I took my daughter and my cousin took her three daughters...so was a girl trip...although I begged him to go with us.

We're going to visit his mother in Aruba this May so I need a vacation after that  Plus, my friends and I planned this trip since last July. I have a strong feeling that he will change his mind in July.

Damien is a hardworker and hates to miss time from work even though he was 10 vacation days he has to use before the end of the year. We also plan on going to JA together in December...if it's OK with his job.

Does that form need to be done in order to send it with the packet? I just made a copy of his vaccination record.

I smell a RFE coming my way...

Is that for the AOS or EAD? The AOS can take its time we need the EAD.

They finally cashed the checks after 9 days.

it is for the AOS.....

all newbies...i know you guys aren't really new but who are just about to go through the interview stage...make sure your SO brings their vaccination card!!!!!!

i told mike to but ya he forgot...then says oh it is somewhere in JA...luckily his mom has it sending it tomorow....just make sure they bring it!!!!!

Does that stop them from having to go to the civil surgeon? Or does it just make things easier?

No you still have to go to the Civil Surgeon but he will need the documentaion of the vaccines to transfer to the I-693a form. I just went on uscis and downloaded the whole Medical form and pulled out the vaccination supplement and gave it to the Civil Surgeon.

Oh ok.

SJB last March was his first time back to see family? Did you bring a lot of stuff down for everyone?

Have a good time (or at least try to) in Aruba. Previous professor is from there and he's been telling me to go since 2005. Still wanna see Barbados, followed by TnT. After that maybe we'll check Aruba.

If we are down there at the same time this December we gotta try and link, since we missed each other in 2005

Yes, last March was his first trip back home. Damien has four brothers (3 of them are a year apart and wear the same size as Damien..the other brother is a baby) and a father back in JA. Damien bought the older brothers an outfit each and an outfit and shoes for his father. We also gave his father money. I shopped for the baby brother. The problem was that Damien came home damn near naked because they begged him for all clothes...even his jacket, hats, sunglasses and shoes. It was pretty sad because he saved all his money and shopped like a b*tch for those clothes.

When we came back last July we only took shirts for the brothers and gave them money.

I can't wait to see Aruba...I pray it will be a good trip.

Yes, we'll have to link up this December.

Jax - I see your I-129f was approved....wow that took a long time.

Yes it took forever. Thank goodness the CR1 went through fast and we will not have paper work for the next couple years.

Anna did you ever send off your I-129F or are you just sticking to the I-130?

I'm sticking w/the I-130 but it's still early. With the new policy I would hate to have my I-130 retained and pursue the K3 so we'll wait it out for now. I really would like an late August interview date so I'm in no rush.

Have any of you guys had a problem with with your spouse not wanting to go back to Jamaica for the next four years ? My husband stated last night that he would not be traveling back to the Yard untill 2010.

Why doesn't he want to go back to JA?? I think most of us have had the opposite problem! They want to go back as often and as soon as possible. I know Tony misses his family and friends. I can't imagine him staying away from them for 4 years :o That's a long time.
