Hi My Peoples!!

Just popping in to wish my favorite online community happy Valentine's Day!!! :luv::luv:(L)(F) I know I have been scarce due to.....life, but I do miss you all a whole lot!! I just finished a few weeks of jury duty, so having done my civic duty, I am totally behind at work.

I trust and pray that you are all doing well and thriving. Happy anniversary to the Squitto's and Forresters. Hey some of you have two anniversaries. LOL For those of you to whom life has thrown some lemons, take it one day at a time and set up that lemonade stand.

I gave Henry a muffin for valentine's day. He gave me two cards....he did not get a chance to sign them.:help:

I'll try to come back and see you all real soon!

Hey Mindy, I am loving LOST!!! You?

Me either- but since they are about to lay us off, I really didn't make any effort to even try to go in. And to make matters worse the company that I work for filed for bankruptcy and took away our medical insurance with only 5 hours notice. Since we don't have medical insurance I'm not going to try to commute on snow, sleet and ice.

Oh well....

Question about the DS230: my fiance has a 7 year old daughter whom we would like to bring to the states too but realistically it will be at least a year until we will be able to do so(we want time for him to adjust/start working/and we need a bigger place)...so my question is where it asks who will accompany the fiance..we will answer none...and who will follow at a later date..should we list his daughter here? or would we be better to answer no to this question and start the k-2 process when we are ready for her to come? oh..and anybody else having to deal with baby daddy and baby momma drama during this process? Ever since I told my baby daddy and fiance told his baby momma of our engagement and plans, they have been acting so immature and childish...when they literally left us alone before we spoke of our plans. We always joke and say we should hook the two of them up...grown ### people acting like 5 year olds!

I'm not sure of the DS230 so I will let someone help you with that. However, I do understand about the baby daddy and momma issue. When I first told my baby daddy I was getting married he was upset but hey well broke up a long time ago so just ignored him. But with my husbands baby momma I'm a little worried. I wasn't at first b/c she was in England but now she hear sey we get married and im soon come a farrin she wan come inna JA to mash up im plan so we can't apply for my step-son. I heard that we won't be able to file for him unless she gives the ok so we'll see.

Just my opinion. but I would not answer no, I would list her and state that she will follow at another date. I know about baby mama drama  Goodluck!

The mother does have to give ok for the child to come here which is what we are worried about too. And my baby daddy is refusing to sign for my son's passport at this point for totally controlling and jealous reasons....i want to take my son to JA with me in April since he has proven that he can't handle full time parenting during the 10 days or so that i'm gone every 3 months (every time i have returned from JA something retarded has happened while my son has been in his care)...plus i want my son to have the opportunity to go there and experience jamaican culture before my fiance comes here...you would think my baby daddy would see this as an opportunity for our son but instead the only thing on his mind is mashin up my plans....i'm hoping he will come to his senses soon as i continue to try and reason with him...however my fiance baby momma is another story but i think given the time that my fiance will be gone and she has time to accept it she will 'get over it' and agree to sign for their daughter to come here...i know that she knows we can provide a better life for their daughter here. I suppose time will tell.

finesse,

my fiance has an 8 year old son who we are planning to bring up as soon as we can, too, which we think will be about a year or so from now. on our ds230 we put 'none' when it asked who will accompany you, and we put his son's name under 'will follow at a later date'...i believe that if you put the daughter on the ds230, then you have 1 year from the date that your fiance's visa is issued to bring her up, otherwise you'd have to start over, filing for the k-2 from here...we decided to put his son on the paper just in case we can bring him sooner than we think right now...i'm not sure if we did it the 'best' way, but we felt like it was better to be safe than sorry... :-) we also included him in all the i-134 paperwork just in case...please let me know if i can be of any more help...so far, no mama drama, thank god... :-)
