Good morning everyone

Rhonda - yep that pic was taken right before entering Shaw Gardens, not too far from Banyon. And yes that is Juici Patties LOL LOL. I'd kill for a patty right now and some coco bread :(

And looks like you will be the first to file for lifting conditions. Doesn't seem too hard (based on the guide for doing so here on VJ), just need to submit additiona proof (like AOS) and if they feel it's sufficient then you might not have to do another interview.

Jax - sorry to hear that :( can you take it up with anyone in the school?

Nanny - where are you looking to move? We're looking to leave Cali - thinking about east coast but scared of the cold winters. Maybe back to ATL...depends on work. Keep us posted on your progress. And definitely let USCIS know every move you make!

Ugh I want a new job they are putting me on a music cart in a school with 3 floors. I can't do my African Drumming unit any more or my Xylophones. Ugh!! Where can I teach without a cart maybe we should move out of IL. Just bummed.

What about those roads today in IL? My goodness. Hope everyone made it home safe.

Have a goodnight all.

Sorry Jax, I hope you get your room back soon. I would love to see an African Drumming unit. Overcrowding in schools in very common here in our town. Our local high school has over 3,000 students crammed into one bulding. The results are pretty sad actually.

Michelle.......how are you doing??? :star:

Girl I'm hanging in there. My company just filed for bankruptcy and expects to let everyone go within the next month or so. I'm just glad that I have a little time(I hope) to look for a new job. Out of 1,800 people there are only about 150 or so left. So sad.

Other than that-everyting cris B)

Thanks for asking.

So enough about me-how are you doing? The big day is almost here

The same here in Chi land area over crowding unless you live in a rich suburb. I maybe teaching music in the gym and having students sit on the floor. But the echo and the loudness in a gym I may need to wear ear plugs and get a mic for my voice. We will see not lossing hope.

Tony doesn't even mind the cold that much. He works outside every day :o doing roofing and siding! He also shovels snow for my dad's company. He doesn't particularly like it, but he's used to it. I think I hate it more than he does  And I've lived here for all of my 28 years!

Jonsie the job market in Atlanta is pretty good depending on what you do. The weather is usally wonderful and we have all four seasons. Unlike Jamaica where the only season is HOT. My husband is loving what we in Atlanta call cold. This foolish man is still in shorts  . Haven't posted much but congrats to all that have interviews or have been approved. All I can say is that all the aggrevation is worth it in the end.

Does anyone know how much a criminal record check costs in Jamaica?? And what they ask for? And where do you have to go?

Just realized I'm going to need one since I lived in Jamaica for 12 years...

Looked at a website here, they want a set of fingerprints (£60), the Jamaican High Commission to notorize them (£15) and an application fee (£38)!!

Now, flights to Jamaica are like £300 and I'd rather pay the £185 more and GO to Jamaica than pay £115 here...grrrrrrr

police clearance cost 40.00 US$ & FINGERPRINTS ARE $35. see the following links for service options & locations:

Goodmorning all!

Today is the day I will make my first temp to call the Embassy. What time are they open? I work all day and only have a lunch break from 11:35-12:05pm. I don't know if thats enough time to get through. It has been 2 weeks that our case first arrived in Kingston. I think by now they should know its there.

Oh my Eric 2 copies  and the timing!

I am looking for a new job and I can't get paid less to support my lifestyle. So to me its worth it to work at the after school program and summer school. But really I couldn't see myself working the entire week straight I need a break. How do you do it Rhonda?
