Actually, I'm not quite sure if they're going to accept your paperwork without it...I think they need to be able to know if he is free to marry right then...the rest of the interview would be pointless in my opinion...unless you two are already married and u're filing for a K-3 or CR-1....I would get it as soon as possible if I were you...trust me, these people are crazy and will LIE LIE LIE!!!!

He would have to return and with what is going on at the Embassy now a days it who knows how long the delay could be. He has time to apply and have it expidited. It will cost a bit more but at this point worth it.

wow! so much going on...good vibes out to all of you...

for those of you who've recently gone through (or are currently going through) the k-1 process, did you have to pay the $335 "visa fee"? or just the $100 at paymaster? we got papers saying both...i'm praying that its only the $100, but want to be prepared...

its awesome to see so many march dates... is everyone getting as nervous as me?!

The $335 fee is for the CR-1, don't worry they will get your money when you file for adjustment of status, which is unneeded for the CR-1.

Mindy thanks for the help on the drivers license. I think I will go pick up the booklet for him to study for the test. Then I can be the driving instructor for a week and he can go take the driving test. How is driving school going for Roy?

I know every state is different, but Tony had to first pass the written test. Then he got a permit and could drive with any licensed driver. He had to drive on the permit for at LEAST 30 days before he could take the driving test and get his license. He passed the driving test on the 2nd attempt They wouldn't pass him because of the damn parellel parking!!!

It is sooooo cold here in Detroit. It is exactly ZERO degrees here right now It's NEGATIVE 17 degrees with the wind chill. I hate winter I'm moving to Atlanta with you Squitto!!!

I woke up and its -7 degrees here without the windchill. They started the school buses at 3am this morning so we could all go to school today. I cleaned my house yesterday it was fantastic. But I am glad there is school today I do want to finish at the end of May.

Definitely expedite it -=- You really do need that for the interview.

It's the $100.00 fee for the K-1. The Embassy is just too lazy to "make" separate sets of paperwork for all the different visa categories.

I am going to be filing for the AOS and EAD. Is the biometrics part of the AOS? Is it better to have 3 separate checks? I will be doing this either tomorrow or Thursday. When I finally get everything together I will ask you for help with making sure I have all the documents needed in the file. This packet is much smaller than the K-1.
