Hey Jill -- It's basically "pumped-up" carrot juice. He takes carrots (that he boils until soft then puts in the blender), Supligen (Ensure-Vanilla), Irish Moss (in the can - it's a "energy" drink that we get at the Jamaican store -- I'm not quite sure what to compare it to as a U.S. product -- it's pretty gross), condensed milk, vanilla and nutmeg powder -- that is the basic juice that the dog gets. Roy then adds a can of Guiness to his.

That sounds absolutely disgusting!!! I'm surprised the dog even drinks it  Tony drinks Irish Moss, Supligen/Ensure, and Guiness, but all of it seperately. I've never seen him mix them up. He also eats partly raw eggs sometimes :o Nasty!!!

It actually tastes like egg nog......

Go Bears!! My dad has gone crazy buying everything bears in Miami. He said they road the esclator with Rex and acted real cool with the guy nod

Anyone going to a special super bowl party?

Everyone have a goodnight!

Ciao

Sorry but the Bears had their time in 86, Growing up in New England I sypathize with Chicago fans, (baseball). But it the Colts time, and they are going to make Chicago pay form 86. Sorry I'm a Pats fan and called this at the beginning of the season. (OK I didn't call them going through the Pats and the Bears for the end results), but They are taking the Super Bowl no questions asked. Bears time will come again in 2009. You never know, they may take the Pats again, but it's not happening till 2009.

Mindy, are you gonna start the annual baby list again?

Wasn't me -- I tried to stay as far away from that list as I possibly could......RHONDA -- how come you always put me one ahead of you?????

How long after you get the Soc Security card does it take to get a drivers licenses in IL. Can he go to drivers school? OR Does he need to drive so many hours with a licensed driver?
As soon as he has his SS card he can go get a State ID -- if you want. It's not a necessity....and if you think he is going to get his drivers license quick it would probably just be a waste of money -- I think it cost $20.00. We got Roy the State ID as soon as we could because we weren't going to "jump" into the whole driving thing.

He will have to take the written test -- Go to the SS office and pick up a copy of The Rules of the Road -- there are practice tests after each chapter. Once he takes the test (and passes -- he gets three tries in a year).....he will get his permit. It is good for one year. <<In Illinois there is NO other option in taking the test. You MUST read the questions. They do not offer an "audio test.">>

After he gets his permit all he has to do is take the driving test. He doesn't have to go to school or put in a certain amount of hours (like the kids do).

I sent Roy to a driving school. They helped him prepare for the written test and even took him to the SS office to do it. He passed the first time. Now we are working on the driving (I paid for five hours with the instructor). He is a good driver -- it's me that has the problem.

Jonesie - Congrats

Mindy thanks for the help on the drivers license. I think I will go pick up the booklet for him to study for the test. Then I can be the driving instructor for a week and he can go take the driving test. How is driving school going for Roy?

My dad just got in from the superbowl this morning he said the game was awsome. There was more hype on the one game but it was a once in a lifetime expereince. He said the Prince Concert was awsome. Dad was soaked though when he got home.

Asking this question ahead of time because I know he wants to drive real bad.

Thanks all!!

My brother-in-law came up on a visitor visa and got married to my sister. After he recv'd his ss card he went up to the DMV and took the written test and got the license the same day. There's no wait time or drivable hrs.
