No Sprint phone just the card. It is the best.

That's great -- thanks!! I'm gonna have to run over there after work. We only have about 15 minutes left on IDT.

I think Ive tried many. The latest Ive tried that didnt require a pin each time I called & I could register my cell phone to call direct is www.eecalling.com. I had a lot of problems with pinshark.com recently because they stopped letting me make calls from a cell phone. Im not sure if your sweetie has a computer but some are using Cable & Wireless & getting netspeak with that they can call free to USA.

I'm in need of HELP. If anyone is following me I am applying for a visitors visa so that he can come over to visit and we can test the waters. Well on the I-134 Affidavit of Support line 6 states that whomever signs the form MUST BE responsible for him for THREE years! I called the USCIS and they said that is correct. If he comes over for one month goes back then comes back here I am responsible form him EVEN IF it doesn't work out and he comes back to visit someone else!

Anyone have any knowledge of this or experience?

It's true. BUT -- I think if your relationship "goes sour" and he goes back (even if he doesn't) -- you need to make sure you contact the USCIS (in writing) and tell them the circumstances. I believe the "support" thing has more to do with keeping "them" from trying to collect Welfare and SS benefits.

How much per minute?

I just searched "Sprint International Calling Cards" and I got a ton.....there was one site that had at least 20 different cards -- I have never heard of any of them -- they were as low at .05 per minute....they say there is no catch -- I don't trust it. When I have more time I'm gonna search some more.

It's nice to heard about the ones that don't work. Thank you!!

Hi Lisa,

I helped my Grandmother obtain a visior visa but I didn't have to complete the I-134 form for her. Where did you see that this is required?

I found it on the travel.state.gov website and it states if applying for a visitors visa then as his sponsor we would have to file an affidavit of support.

I think I am just going to have him try and get it himself without our support. Of course once he gets here we will have him stay at our place but my parents don't want to support someone they don't know for 3 years!

My Grandmother applied for the visa in JA @ the Embassy. Originally I sent here an invation letter then she applied and for the interview I had to sent her a letter stating I would financially be responsible for here during her stay and included bank statements and an employer letter. Have you tried looking through their wesbite for add'l info?

Hey guys!

I have a question... I am going to file for my fiancee..and how big of a "proof of relationship" issue is it that we have only been physically together one week? I met him over the summer while I was in JA on a mission trip with my pastor and I am an elementary teacher so it is hard for me to get time off during the school year to go visit him. I am planning a trip for Spring Break but hope to have started paperwork before then.

Also- he tried to come here for Christmas but wasnt approved for the visitor's VISA b/c he didnt have "adequate community ties to show return"...will that mean anything in the paperwork process??

Thanks!!!

You guys are great!

You will be fine. As for as the I-129f packet is concern you have to submit what is required. You will need to show proof of relationship at the interview. So start gathering proof from now by sending letters and/or cards, emails, obtain phone bills, take pictures on your next trip, etc. I'm sure someone else can add to this. Save your receipts, boarding passes, and iteniraries.
