My stress level is slowly getting higher! The fear of the unknown, not being able to communicate every minute of every day with him, chosing the right path to go down with this relationship! I just want him here to start our lives together!

Everyone says "TIME" but when you are as impatient as me TIME is null and void when it comes to getting what I want (i'm not spoiled just driven)

has anyone else had this problem...the SO not adjusting well to your family and just not wanting too??? if so how did you deal with it????we have been up to see my family many times and everytime he turn into this jerk...who runs and hides from them...it is starting to bother them and me as well...HELP!!!!! other than that things are going pretty well...

but i HATE COMCAST.....AAAHHH

Hang in there. Im very organized & controlling with paperwork & time contraints too. Whereas my honey is so laid back & patient. It is very difficult for me to pass the baton over @ this point in the game. Everything left is up to him, medical, drop off pick up. It is hard for me to just sit back. I just trust that it will be done & I will try to not pressure the importance of deadlines too.

That is how I am going to be - I can not delegate tasks because what if they don't get done?!?!?

I have to learn to place things in others hands and stress the importance of it! I would prefer to go to JA and do it all for him but he's an adult and can handle it himself!! :blush:

I try to put myself in Verton's Shoe. He has never left Jamaica, Does not have any family or friends here. I really don't think i would have been able to do it. I had 20+ people at my house for Christmas all my friends, all my family. He had to go outside to take a breath, it takes time to adjust. Remember you are all he knows.

I went on the internet to find a Carribean soccer league. He has only been here 12 days but he has met some of his people so he's a little more comfortable. Time and Patience and let him meet some of your family one on one so he doesn't feel intimidated. You Hate COMCAST I HATE RAMBOO OH YEAH. This is a movie he watches EVERYDAY.

Shauna if that is your only big complaint you are doing well. Just take sometime and talk about it. I know it is hard to adjust to a new family and friends. I use to just sit quietly in the corner in JA with his friends and family and after a few years it got better. Hang in there. I wish I could say Dwain had the same problem with my family when they came down for a week in JA. But Dwain talked to all a lot and loves my aunts and uncles and calls my parents mom and dad. Some people need time I have a cousins husband and he has been married for 5 years and still is shy and not that comfortable with the big family.

:) may time make it better.

My hubbies feet have been hurting he cut them and he was limping this morning. So I took the sheet off his feet and oh my they were all cut up so I made him go to the hospital. He had no phone credit so he finally let me walk on the street by myself. I remember the days I got yelled at for doing that. So I got him a phone card a drink and made him call the doctor. So now he is at the hospital hopefully it won't be that bad.

For Christmas here we went to the sunshine beach the public one on the hip strip it was fun. My mother in-law cried when I gave her here present a photo album of our wedding pics. She just lost her husband and will loss her only son in a few months. I am just happy that she got a job and when Dwain moves the people she works for offered her a room to stay in. This is great news now we don't have to take care of her. Even though she is nervous cause she has lived in Mobay her whole life but she will be moving to Anchovy. I just thank God that she will be safe.

Just wishing I could take hubby home now but knowing only a few more months to go.

Anna - how is your case going? Did you send it in?

Soccer league, great idea. I also found a local Jamaican Restaurant & a website from Dallas that I will have him search through for other outlets.

Hi to all---

I just checked the NVC automated service and dem seh dat they sent off the paper to kingston embassy!!!!! Alright!!! I know how the embassy likes to be closed on holidays but i would like to know when they have recieved the papers,when do you guys think it's a good time to contact them and what do i do from here? I know we can get an email with the interview date but is that all from here? What will the consulate need from us?

anyhelp?
