It's occured to me; and I'm sure some of you too, that I have been here over a year and I have not progressed at all since then. I can't seem to summon up the courage to move forward. What's so sad is that I have dragged an innocent man into this :( . He probably would have been better off without having met me.

Michelle don't feel bad but I kind of know what you're coming from. It took me over a year to get to this point and sometimes I think I couldn't do it. It was touch and go for a while but then one day it hit me. I knew I had to let go of this fear I was having and move forward. Just ask youself is he the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. And with that answer you know what and when it will get done. Take your time dear if he truly loves you he will understand. Don't worry yourself.

Me dey ya....AND it's offical......I am MARRIED!!!!!! I still can't believe it but I'm happy, truly happy. Thanks

Wow! Congratulation  What part of JA did you get married in?

Second of all, I would like to say JA is the most unorganized and lazy place I have ever seen.

Basically I was in Spanish Town on Friday trying to tie up some loose ends and bam two cars block us in the corner and wanted to rob us. Luckily they didn't have a gun but it was scary nevertheless.

OH my gosh :o I would have totally freaked out! I am so glad you're ok. What did you do?

And I totally agree with JA being totally unorganized and lazy  Doing anything there takes forever :(

We did not remove a single paper from our folder. nO PICS, NO PHONE BILL, NO LETTER. She said "Trust me, you two do not need anything else."

The same thing happened with us. We didn't need anything we brought with us except the requested forms (156, 157, etc.) I guess the old saying holds true though - better to be safe than sorry! ;) As Mindy says, take everything with you including the kitchen sink

As for the "personal questions" I'm assuming that was due to your unique situation!

Sorry to hear your flight was so delayed. I have heard nothing but complaints lately about Air Jamaica

Rhonda,

Girl what could I do?????? Just looked and tried to keep my a** quiet. When we left out in the morning we didn't bring any purses or anything....if we did I dont' think we would have made it. Our money was in our shoes. The men surrounded the car w/their hands in the window looking for something (I think for purses or whatever) but when he came to my side I rolled up my windows and lock the door. It was crazy!!! I just cried like a baby but I had my sun glasses on so they couldn't see all that. Girl......it was a mess!!!! I will NEVER in my life forget this experience....

We got married in Mandeville.

Yeah, If it were me, or when it was me I should say ...I just keep telling my self, how will I know If I don't at least try. Unless there is some obvious reason. That, what if I miss out on having the love of my life, was just too much for me. You take a chance when you fall in love.

Very nice I wish I could get Fed Ex for barley anything. Nice to know people in high places. I just sent my DS203 for 23 dollars today Global Express. That is quick getting the marriage certificate. I am still waiting on my offical one. If your ever stuck let me know and I can help you out. I would recomend that a congressman check it over and then they send it in with their special stamp. I think that is why my case moved faster than normal. I think the democrats office Obamas office is closer for you. You don't have to do this at all for I am not an expert.

Did you take any pictures?

Michele,

Anna put it nicely wait and see how you feel. Take too much time is not a big deal. It took me a long time like Anna to relaize it was the right choice to make. I just can't believe that it will be 9 years when he is final here with me. He should be here I am thinking Feb or March. So hold on girl and take it slow. What was that song by Legend take it slow!

I took a couple not much. What about that Schawlaski (sp?) woman? I will contact both of their offices and see what can be done. That stamp would be just the thing to get it moving....thanks for the advice.

No Denise, they didn't get any money. We had to drive over some stuff to get from them and even after that we went to the police station to chill for a min to make sure we weren't followed. The sad part is that I have to see my mom today and I now she heard something but I can't tell her. She would worry too much!!

You only fill out the assets part if the income is not 125% above the poverty line. As long as the income is over the poverty line and you have proof (bank statements, pay stubs, letter from employer) then you don't need the assets part. The whole point of the form is to prove you are above the poverty line. If you can do that on income alone then consider yourself good to go. Good luck!
