Well I spoke with a lady at the Embassy today...she didn't mention anything about the Embassy closing (not that I asked)...but anyway...she told me that a letter had not been sent to him yet, therefore he did not have an interview scheduled yet...I explained to her that I was told that his name was put into the computer to be scheduled for a December date, and that I was told the letters were to be sent out at the end of THIS month...well this lady rudely pointed out that it wasn't quite the end of the month...and I then informed her that October had 31 days, and today was the last day of the month...she said that letters probably weren't going to be sent out until sometime in mid-late November...I don't know how true this is...I am going to call back probably on Friday to see if I get a different answer from someone else...Right now I am SO PISSED I don't know what to do!

I'm soo confused. When our husbands come over are they assigned a new A number? We got a call from our representive who states that my husband was assigned someone elses A number, by mistake. I'm just wondering why would he have to be assigned a new number when he had a number all along?? The actual A number she gave me is different from what is on his passport from Jamacia. Anyone else assigned a new number? Well It's good news, at least we know it's not something we did. To think that asswipe atour AOS interview made it seem like "WE" were hiding something Anyways she sent an inquiry to the FBI to see whats taking soo long, she should know something in about a week.

It's so scary. What if we were approved and it wasn't caught in time we left the country and wasn't let back in cause the A numbers were wrong..... What a mess.

Our "A" number never changed....that's so weird. Hopefully you are close to the end of this mess. Can you just imagine if you left the country?!?!?!? Don't even want to go there

Sorry to hear, I feel your fustrations. Give it another day, most of use received our dec dates the 1st week in Nov. last year.

Yeah....it was the 1st and 2nd of November for December dates. Hopefully that lady was just being a B*%$@ and the dates will be given out this week.

Similar unhelpful response via email--they did say they are moving 12/8, but that they didn't know when they would send out the December appointments. I emailed back and said, gosh--I am really worried these appointments will be scheduled on very short notice or so close to Christmas it will be impossible to come--I got a, well, sorry we can't help you --response. I could SCREAM

I don't think I can go if it's just a week from today. I'm frantically looking up airfares, but there's nothing less than about $600, and in order to hve enough to pay for the visa itself, the medical,==oh hell--it would be next to impossible for me to be there. But maybe he should still take it.

Have you tried www.sidestep.com they usualy show you the best fares. I think someone once found a good last minute deal. True maybe he should go alone I am sure he would do fine on his own. All the best with your decision.

Help--medical forms? Does anyone know where i can get the medical forms on line? We were given a last minute appt for the interview Nov 7 because of a cancellation. Embassy is faxing him the appt letter, but says they can't fax the "form" he will need. Ideas?

Well hello.... just got back late last night....so here is the low down on everyting...

YES you WILL get interview seperatly!!! Mike was first then me....they asked him how we meet...if he loeves me and why? my birth date..where i live...where does my family live.. how many times i have been to JA... where we stayed those times..and then the basic if he has ever been in trouble with the law...if he has ever been to the states...and if he has EVER smoked weed... i think that was about it...

then she asked me how we met...how many times have i been to JA and if i have any pictures ect...

she looked through the pics and asked me like when was this taken and where...if you are going to bring any cards you really NEED the envelope it came in to show it came or went to JA...she really didn't care about the cards....any reciepts or ticket stubs anything....

then she called mike back and told us the bad but good news....i was very upset even though i knew we got it...it just pissed me off cause i had asked someone before they refussed thought they would get searched but the IRS and there is more to the story but i am not very happy with them...

so i called my sister...very upset she called me parents...and they said they would do it.....then i felt much better!!!!

be prepared to WAIT!!!! even though you might have a 7:15 appointment you might not get really interviewd much before 9....luckly kim told me that or i would have lost my mind....

if you do bring anything that you are not allowed in the building with you can check it with people who are walking around with plastic bags and they will give you a number to come back and get it!!

the hotel i stayed at was very nice...the food was actually good....

my flight how was GREAT!!! i somehow got upgraded to first class (thanks miss kelly)..so i hade the champaign flowing...until i rememberd i had to drvie myself home

but all in all it was a good trip....a little snag...but it should soon be corrected...

Sorry some of you have to wait till January...but trust me....1 MONTH is not bad AT ALL!!!!! count yourselves lucky it is only a month and not 4 months extra .

he should go and pick it up...not sure if you can get it online..
