Would anyone know if one has a 10 year visitors visa and his seamans visa and is denied for the fiance visa does anything happen to the other two visas he has? My guy, who has these asked if I knew and honestly I don't have any reason why we would be denied but I guess that is a good question to ask just in case.

Interesting that you asked. Technically nothing should happen, but it is at the discretion of the US embassy officer. I had a friend of mine who was denied a student visa recently. He still visits the US on his visitor's visa. His sister however who was also denied her student visa had her 10 year visa cancelled by the embassy in Trinidad. Now she cannot visit. I guess if they figure you are a risk, then they have the authority to cancell the other. So there is realy no difinitive answer to that except to say it's at the US consulate discretion.

Good morning everyone! Well, I just wanted to vent--AGAIN! I called the Embassy yesterday, because as of yet Gregory and I had still not been assigned an interview date and he turned his form in 3 weeks ago! Well, when I called the first time, the lady pulled his info up and said that it was showing that he still hadn't turned the form in..I asked her "well where does the form have to go?" I mean it was dropped off where it was supposed to have been dropped off at, and now it's just randomly in the building somewhere? :( Anyway, she transferred me to the supervisor who was in charge of that stuff--and alas, I got the voicemail...I WAS PISSED! So, I give it another 30 minutes and I call back. This time another lady answers the phone and I explain the situation to her...Well, she pulls up his info and basically says the same thing as the other girl, but THEN she tells me to hold on and she is going to update his file in the system so that he can go ahead and be put on the interview list...so she puts me on hold for 10 minutes!!:whistle: So, when she finally returns she tells me that he has been put on the list and that unfortunately there were no more dates available in November, but just to make sure she puts me on hold for another 2 minutes to make sure there were no November cancellations--and there weren't...so she said that he will be interviewed in December. She didn't give a specific date, but said that the interview letters for December were going to be mailed at the end of this month, so I'm figuring he should have it by the end of the first week in November. So I ask her, "Well what is he supposed to do about the DS 230 since he already turned it in, but it's somehow mysteriously missing?" She tells me that they will send him out another form and to just fill it out and bring it to the interview. I told her ok, and thank you for helping. I mean, she really was a nice lady. SO, as of now I believe he'll be interviewed in December, but I'm going to call back in a couple of weeks just to make sure. Has this ever happened to anyone before?[

I harrassed the Embassy by email until a got a response (George dropped off the DS230 a week ago), and they told me the interview would be in December, but also, didn't give me a specific date. If they'd just TELL US TE DAMN DATE we could buy a ticket.

Hi Everyone (F)

This could be outdated information but for those of you waiting for a specific interview date. Back when a huge group of people were waiting for their interview dates we discovered that they don't actually produce the specific list for say December until the beginning of Novemeber. A huge group of ladies all called and were given their dates at the beginning of the month...all for the next month. So I would assume that you all don't actually have a specific date yet. That you will be assigned it at the beginning of next month. That is when I would start calling again. That was last year so I don't know if thing have changed but that is how it used to be

When I called the Embassy they told me November, no specific date. I e-mailed them and they responded with an October date. This was the end of September. It is easier to e-mail them.

I have e-mailed these people several times with NO response at all!! I found it much easier to just call--I have always talked to somebody. I feel a little better about him being on the list, but I just wish I knew something definitive.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY...TICKETS AREN'T ALL THAT CHEAP!! :(

It's not a real attic -- you can't walk up there you can only crawl and you will be crawling on the 2 x 4's....there's not floor or boards or anything -- and the "hole" that you get in is in one of the bedroom closets. Not real convenient. If I could push the dogs up there I would.

I heard something in the ceiling. I thought it was the rain on the skylight but it wasn't. Whatever was above my head was big and loud. Too loud to be mice. Could have been squirrles. The "pest" guy went up on the roof and found almost "holes" in my soffits and raccoon poop on the roof. He didn't pull back the shingles because he didn't want to make it any worse than it already was......there are two traps up there with food....nothing was in there this morning. The traps will stay up there for two weeks.....

I hate the embassy :bonk: I would send an e:mail to them CONFIRMING what the woman told you on the phone yesterday. Send it a few times until you get a response from them -- especially regarding the DS-230. Then, I would start calling on the 31st.....and keep calling until you get through and get a date.

Like Jamie said -- there were a bunch of us that were calling on November 1st for December interviews....they didn't start giving out the dates until the 1st of the month....and, if I remember correctly, the letters were dated for like the 20th (of October) or something. The dates were set and the letters were already done -- but they made us wait until the 1st before they would tell us.
