:lol::lol:

I am hanging out on my weight loss forum talking bout low cal caribbean cooking....as in HOW???!!!:lol:

Howdy Folks :luv:

Just wanted to check in and let you all know I am alive. Andre still is too but we have had a couple close calls :lol:

Things are going ok...in the last month or two we have moved and I started school and got a different job. We just got internet back at the house after almost a month and a half without...trust me I hate the library now. Andre is still loving his job and they are loving him. Today is actually the 1 year anniversary of his arrival to the states. We went out to celebrate. I can hardly believe a year has passed...crazy  This was probably the hardest year of my life honestly but I am so glad we are still going strong (L)

Good to see all the newbies around and great to see all the "old" faces. Glad to hear everyone is surviving.

I know its late and all but Julie...wow what an absolutely wonderful baby boy  If we can all only be so lucky.

Congrats to everyone elses great news...there is so much I am not even going to try

May God continue to bless all of us in this great family

Much Love,

Jamie (L)

Jax~ So sorry for the loss. What a hard time for you and your husband and his family. Stay strong (F)

Jamie!!! honey!!!! I have been thinking about you soooo much the past few days!! :luv:

Also......about the cooking thing...Duane used to cook a lot too and now it is rare.....!! He is a great cook...he made some red pea chicken soup with ####### soup from JA...it was yummy!!!

Thanks all.....the advice is real helpful.

No I could not imagine...80lbs :no::unsure:

Ok, I have a new topic for you guys. Actually it is more of a question. How often does your man drink? Did he drink often in Jamaica? Does he drink more or less now than he did while living there? Is it an "issue"?

Michael is a recovered alcoholic now. He hasn't had a drink since the day he got here... so he's been sober for 11 months now  He had a bit of a problem with rum, actually it was so bad that it was starting to damage his liver.

He was a completely different man when he drank so yeah, it was a HUGE issue for us. He actually quit a while before he got here, but when we started geting close to an approval on our K1 and him moving he here he kind freaked out and had a relapse. But all is back on track now and he's doing great. He goes to AA meetings every Tuesday.

I am so happy to hear of this! I admire him and you as well. Stay strong; you have been blessed with a beautiful family. I know how hard addiction is (mine is certain foods). I have lost 15 pounds on this plan that I am on and on some days I would give up my healthy lunch for a cadbury bar and some smarties...but I know I want to be healthy. I wish I could give Mike a hug and tell him I am proud of him.

We keep, Guniess, redstrip, and a bottle of apppleton, and white wine, I buy every two or three months, for night caps every so often. David is not a "drinker" it makes him "giddy" and it's no laughing matter  He'll buy a Guniess when we go out....but he ends up spilling most of it all over the floor cause he shakes it up while dancing  I end up drinking the rest.

Mrs Parker too !!! I would love to know the status of Eric's case...

Any plans for the weekend?

A client of mine gave me 4 tickets to go to Hershey Park (that expire Sunday), so we're gonna check it out tomorrow. I haven't been there in yeeeears. Craig "says" he's going to ride EVERY ride....we'll see :P

Hope everyone is having a nice day and has a nice weekend!

Don't know if you will like this one. It is primarily low carb plans. But you have a variety of folks in there.

I hang out mostly in muscle matters, faith based support and the photo studio with peoples testimonies and befores and afters. http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/index.php

I am not ready to say yet which program I am on. "Only" 17lbs down so far. When I have made it further I will share. I set mini goals o 10lbs at a time. My goal is actually 50lbs and then we'll see where I go from there!! When I tell anyone I got loose 50 -60 they ask why? But I carry my weight all over so I don't have big breasts or a giant butt so people think I weigh way less. Even my doctor says "but you don't look like you weigh X)X)X". Whatever I just wanna be healthy and have my baby.

This board has a TON of Atkins so you will fit right in. I have never tried Atkins, but you can take Biotin for your hair. They FDA has not recommended a dosage so no one knows the RDA. Some folks take 5mcg some folks take 20 mcg; I take 1000 mcg as a lemon flavored lozenge. I lost my hair from previously existing anemia; can't have that happen again.

I am trying Atkins now and if I see another egg I will barf... I was never big on eggs anyway but I do love my salads with meat and good tasting salad dressing instead of the no fat, tasteless stuff. It is amazing what has carbs and how much.

WE ARE DONE!!!

please can someone tell me on the DS-156 please what should I put for question 20 and 21, basically I am asking is it about me the spouse or the benificiarry ( which at this time means my husband)?

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa
