Yup the guys' name is Nadal Hasan.

It's terrible. And it is sort of far fetched to believe that a major is a terrorist, I mean it takes years to make rank to major, like 8 years if you start as 2nd LT. That would be a pretty long-term planned operation. He probably ran amok. Who knows. I think we'll learn more soon.

Did you find any information whether he hurt any civilians as well?

There's an obvious conflict of interest if the guy is an Arab and we're fighting Arabs.

They can send an Arab to North Korea, but don't send the guy to Afghanistan or Iraq, for crying out loud.

That is the truth. If it isn't true then it should be given its day in court. There clearly is nothing wrong with that. Just like this nutjob major- his apparent mental illness is unheard of in the ranks, so it must have been something further than that.
