Does anyone have any information on how to transfer embassies?

The problem is that my fiance (who is a Pakistani citizen and a student in the UK) interviewed in May 2009 for his K-1, he was put on AP and has been on AP ever since then, but he has to leave the UK by Nov 30, 09 since his UK student visa is expiring on that day and he cannot renew it, so he has to leave to Pakistan. We don't know what will happen to the processing of my fiance's K-1 visa in London. We have asked DOS/Congressman/Senators/US Embassy in London and no one is giving us straight answers. I wanted to know if anyone has experience with two different embassies or transferring embassies and could please give me some direction or guidance in this issue.

Thanks so much in advance!

As I was told you contact the embassy as in your case you will contact Pakistan U.S. Embassy, they will contact U.S. embassy in UK and transfer the file!! This is a easy process.

I may be doing the same thing, from France to Algeria!!! Good luck Hon.

Truly happy!!!

So I, the US Citizen have to contact US Embassy in Pakistan to get the file transferred from UK to Pakistan? Or does my fiance, the Pakistani citizen have to contact the US Embassy in Pakistan to get the file transferred?

Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it!

YOU have to make the request!! But please confirm with embassy in London first, and explain the situation about his card expiring, to see IF they will still issue. Im in the same boat as you now, my senator just told me a transfer would be necessary in my case. Good luck!!!

Yes, you the US Citizen needs to contact the Embassy in writing/email.

Send an email to the UK and explain to them why you need to have your case transferred and also contact the Pakistan U.S. Embassy to inform them.

We had the case transferred from occupied Jerusalem to Jordan it only took a few days.

Good luck!

Just another question...when a case is transferred from one embassy to another, does the second embassy start all over again or do they continue the processing from where the previous embassy left off? My fiance is waiting clearance from DOS since Sept 09 (he was in Admin Review prior to that), so I am worried about Islamabad starting from point A rather than where London left off....anyone know?
