It's not a big deal - they likely just lost it. Resend it.

i just read somewhere that i needed to fill out a statement stating my name and that the translation is true or something to that affect here is an example...

I typed name , certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and

languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the

document attached entitled .

Signature

Date Typed Name

Address

could this be the reason...has anyone else attached a this statement along with the translations??

everyone has as it is required standard operating procedure to provide a translator "certification" statement for all translation provided to the USCIS....

if you have already submitted, that's ok.

but the certification for the translation is better coming from somebody who has authority to translate (does translations for a living/a professional/linguist/interpreter) and works for an institution that does the same

so even if a family member or friend is fluent in the required language translation, it does not suffice because it defeats the purpose of certification (uscis wants assurance that whoever did the translation is credible)

You base this on what? Many have finished AOS without an "official" translator.

OP - follow the suggested translator statement on VJ.

Good Luck!

Your opinion and your opinion only... the translator certification statement in the VJ link is an EXACT replica of the suggested language posted on the USCIS website...

WHY DOES EVERYONE THAT I GET ADVICE FROM FROM THIS REGION OF THE EARTH HAS THEIR OWN LOGIC AND THEORY OF HOW THE USCIS WORK....PLEASE IF YOU DONT KNOW...PLEASE DONT POST! LET SOMEONE WITH REAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE SITUATION REPLY...BECAUSE THIS IS BASED ON YOUR OPINION AND HOW THINGS WORK FROM YOUR REGION OF THE WORLD... (it does not suffice because it defeats the purpose of certification (uscis wants assurance that whoever did the translation is credible) HEARING THIS PISSES ME OFF...ITS LIKE HAVING A FAMILY MEMBER FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY TEACH YOU ABOUT THE LAWS OF A FOREIN LAND..im speaking from personal experience...my grandmother is just like this.

thanks but more thanks if you would just POST IF YOU DONT KNOW.

SORRY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE..BUT HALF #### INFORMATION BASED ON OPINIONS COMING FROM PEOPLE REALLY PISSES ME OFF...IM SURE EVERYONE HERE UNDERSTANDS WHERE IM COMING FROM...
