-Im hoping you guys can help me out. This is the deal- I am getting married to my Beautiful Marie next month in the Philippines and then we will start the paperwork to get her here in the U.S., Anyway-In the Philippines the Visa's are delivered to the recipient by a carrier 3-7 days after approval. The problem I have with that is Marie lives in a tiny remote village way up in the mountains. Sometimes the road (if you want to call it that) is impassable making me wonder how a carrier will get her Visa to her. Her address doesnt even contain a house number or anything-just the name of the village.so if the carrier did manage to make it to the village how will he know what house to go to?. I am sure this problem has been dealt with before as there are lots of tiny remote villages in the Philippines. So my question is- Does anyone know if its possible to have your Visa sent to a different address than the address on your application or is it possible to maybe even pick it up at the U.S.Embassy in Manila where she had her interview?.

Visa pick-up is not allowed but she can have it delivered at a different address than the one in her application. Whereabouts in the Philippines does she live?

I dont know how to help, but I just had to say that your situation is TOO COOL!!!! What an experience it must be to visit her there...man, thats just cool!

Any chance she can change her address in the application and you can get her a "box" in the closest city as her updated address??

She could give the address of her hotel in Manila when she goes for the interview. From what I've seen the peeps that have done that generally get the visa delivered in 2-3 days. My honey's address doesn't have a house number either which seems to be pretty common for the provinces. It's just a street name and city and somehow evertything I have sent her has gotten there. She's in fairly small town and not a remote village though.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Thanks Everyone- Having the Visa delivered to the Motel Room would be our safest bet I think-Thankyou! We talked about changing her address to a more suitable one but then she would have to change the address on all her documents as well (which for the most part she has already aquired), it is difficult for her to get these documents because of the distance she has to travel to get them so we would like to use the one she has if at all possible. And by the way,to answer the question "where does she live" -she lives in a Village called Libas. Its in Southern Leyte outside of a town called Sogod. And yes it is awesome when I go see her. When we travel into Sogod on Motorbike it is so beautiful riding through the mountainside, and the people that live there are the nicest most family orientated group I have ever encountered, I just wish the country wasn't so poor but I guess that is part of the reason it is the way it is though. I would have to say the one thing that I don't like the most about going there is that nobody within a 20 mile radius has Hot running water, I just cant get used to those ice cold showers , but to be able to be with my Beautiful Marie it is a small price to pay.
