police certificate hyderabad india

What document should i give the police office? they keep asking for letter from consulate or letter with all required docs and name/address of beneficiary. My wife showed the police the noa2, aos letter, print out from chennai website with the docs that are required didnt help. Should i give them the ds-230 cover sheet? that doesnt have the required docs? Should i send the rest of the stuff and get an RFE which is actually the checklist?? Please help. I really want to get the process done with already. waiting for the checklist could mean waiting 2-3 weeks more and missing out on interview dates....anyone who has been through the process in india recently can help. Please let me know what exact letter/doc you submitted to the police and if possible also to the passport office??? Please let me know what letter and how NVC refers to it.

No i am going to retry this week. What i was told is that I have enough documentation to get a police certificate from both teh NVC and the consulate.

You need to apply at Hyderabad Passport Office to get Police Clearance Certificate. You need to fill out the application along with the fee and photos and you need to submit your Original passport to them and you should receive it in a week from them in the mail ( police cc, passport stamped with PCC ). My parents applied for PCC and got it in a week.

First- were your parent's passports issued in the last 6 months? because as far as i know if they are older than that they need both clearance certificate from district police as well as passport office.

Second-so you do not really need to have both certificates or both are provided by the passport office? Also which letter did your parents submit at the passport office i mean the letter from nvc and/or uscis? which exact one, please mention.

Have you been able to get a Police Clearance Certificate from the Passport office? What was the process and how long did that take?

Hmm.... Hyd.....

Our NVC Process has come to a stand still due to these Police Certificates.

My Wife has already applied for the PCC from Passport office like 10 working days back.. havent got it back yet.

Next we need to apply for PCC from local police, This hopefully should be easy as we can apply online and Pick it up from Commisoners office near

Purani Haweli (Near Madina/ Old City). But I'm waiting for the first PCC to arrive in mail as my wife's Passport is with the Regional Passport Office and We will need to Produce the Origanal Passport in person when we go to collect the PCC from Commisoners Office.

my wife was able to get the PCC from the commissioner's office but they did not cover her stay since age 16 even though she stayed at the same place. They just issued a PCC from the date her passport was issued.

My Wife applied on March 18th and she recived it on April 26th.

Not sure whay you meant.

But here is what i cld get from ur mesg..

For PCC from Passport office you dont really need anythign from USA.

Fill in the form2/Form3(one of them) and submit it to Passport office dont pay any agent anymoney its a waste of your hard earned money, FYI no copies they ask for orignal passport. HYD passport office is too slow, it will help if you know someone in the Passport Office else you submit and wait and wait...

It cld take anywhere from 15days to 45days.. Patience needed in plenty.

For PCC from Comm office.

Depends if you are in Hyd or Cyberabad.

But they too ask for Orignal passport when they issue a Certificate.

Dont waste time submitting online and waiting... go in person to Comm office and get things done.

I sent in the Orignal PCC from passport office and a Copy of Biographichs page & a page from passport that is stapped by the passport officaials when they issue the PCC.
