Hi!

If anyone has an idea of what to do, I appreciate your advice/opinions:

I reviewed some of my answers in the DS-156 form and realize that I may not be doing it correctly.

For Question 29: Have you ever been in the US/Give additional dates you entered the US:

-- I have been travelling the US since I was 7 although I only have documentation from my recent passports -- since 2000. I have listed each time I entered the US and how long I stayed but I dont remember how long Ive entered since the early 1990's -- do I need to show those too or will my last 10 recent trips be enough?

-- Also, I was on a student visa for 3 years (2004-2007). I went home for holidays (probably totalling 70 days worth of departing the US for short breaks) and would like to know if I have to enter in EACH time I entered the US since leaving for short breaks while on the F1 visa?

For Question 35: Has your US Visa ever been cancelled or revoked?

Technically since I finished school in 2007 and no longer needed my student visa, the answer is yes.

I was given an F1 student visa from Howard Community College from Nov 2003 to May 2006. When I transferred to university in '05, I was given another F1 student visa from UMBC from Dec 2005 to May 2009. Naturally the US Consulate cancelled the first student visa so that I can be awarded the second student visa. When I completed my bachelors in 2007, I informed my school which then informed Homeland Security/USCIS that I have completed my degree. I have been using my B1/B2 visa to visit my fiance ever since.

I dont want to say that Ive had visas cancelled/revoked because that sounds horrible and implies that I did something illegal. I followed all US goverment rules when entering the country as a student and recently as a tourist. However, I dont know if that is technically lying because both F1 visas have been cancelled since I completed my degree.

If you have an idea of how I can tackle these questions, I would appreciate it.

Cheers!

This is a problem for many people in border areas. I couldn't begin to list my visits to Canada. For lunch? For my wife to buy cosmetics at her favorite shop? IKEA? I would just list any trips of longer duration, visas, etc and then "numerous other brief visits" They understand cross-border travel is frequent.

As for having a visa revoked or canceled, I would say "no" if it was simply because you no longer needed it...or you could say "yes" and just note "student visa, no longer required"

None of these will affect you getting a K-1 visa.

For question 29 I put down all my visits to my fiance and "Numerous visits to the US between the ages of 1 and 16".

As if I'm going to remember them all.
