My prayers and Best Wishes go out to everyone too. I was very relieved to receive a message from Doan after 4 days. They had no phone and internet and the power was out for a day and they are not even in the danger zone. She was stranded at work for a few days (no cable car or boats could move people from the island to the mainland). Nha Trang is very well protected by islands but wind and rain create havoc everywhere. The puppy Cu Ti was very happy to see her when she finally got home

People died not because of the direct result of the storm. They died because of the massive flooding due to careless releasing of water from a nearby dam for a hydro electric-generating power plant (news source: RFA, Radio Free Asia). Way to go the Vnese gov't!!!

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!
