Australia's immigration speaks for itself. Those from Northern South American countries that the US is fixated on allowing to migrate here the most, are least accepted in Australia. Aka not interested mate.

BTW, just because my wife is from Colombia does not mean she's into drugs. Neither am I! And to answer your earlier question, I'm a born and bred American (from the D.C. area) who spends most of the winters in Costa Rica fishing. Met my wife there as well as many other good friends.

Yep, and I would like to thank BY for proving himself again to be the narcissistic jerk we all know that he is. I knew that as soon as I posted this article that he would quick to say that it didn't matter but that Oz was still the best place in the world to live. And I give him kudos for being loyal to his land of his birth.

But I do have a question though. As this is not an article about people immigrating to other countries, but what country a person would want to move to, if Oz is such a great place, why don't more people want to move there?? I mean it is pretty far down on that list beneath countries he holds in such contempt?.

I don't understand that the attitude that "my country = better" translates to "me = better". Its very odd.

A lot of people don't move to Oz for much the same reason that a lot of people don't move (legally) to the US. Because immigration isn't simply a matter of personal choice - the entry requirements for residency are purposefully very tough to keep the population low (In that respect Australia has more in common with Switzerland than with the USA - and that comparison isn't necessarily a good thing).
