Vaccinations For Interview

Upon reading the Kiev Consulate website, they discuss the need for vaccinations and have a long list of vaccinations that may be required. Will they do the necessary ones at her medical exam prior to the interview? They don't list vaccinations as something that is done at the medical exam. What if she shows up with no medical records for vaccinations? I can't believe that she would need to have all these vaccinations prior to the interview as the list is quite lengthy and I am sure that some are unnecessary. For those who have been through the interview, what was required regarding vaccinations?

Thanks

My fiancée visited her primary doctor to update her vaccines. As well, when she visited the doctor require by the embassy prior interview he signed and translated her records approving her vaccines. She had more than the required by the US Embassy, but they were needed.

I would recommend your fiancée to visit her doctor and update her with whatever she is missing, Not sure what country your fiancée is from, but may need some additional requirements to be met.

Good Luck,

vp

Is this a double post? I seem to recall answering this already today. Hmmm

At any rate, the medical exam fee dos not include vaccinations and none are needed for the interview, they will not even ask, they do not even care. Vaccinations are not needed in Kiev for a visa. They are needed for AOS.

She can get her medical records from the clinic that did her vaccinations (it was real easy for us to get). Take those to the medical exam and they will transcribe them onto the DS-3025 form. KEEP that form and file it with your AOS.

It may be possible to get needed vaccines at the medical exam for additional cost, we did not need any. The visa will be issued either way, but you would need them for AOS. You can have the vaccines done here by your own doctor or local health department then send the documentation to Dr. Arnold in Texas (his address is around this site somewhere) and he will sign off the on the I-693 for $30. No need to go to a civil surgeon for everything (Dr. Arnold is a civil surgeon)

I can't say for sure whether it's a double post, but it may well be: the OP's timeline indicates that he's filed for a K-1, but this was posted in the IR-1/CR-1 forum for immigrant spouse visas.

Gary's information is correct for K-1 applicants; for IR-1/CR-1 applicants, however, vaccinations (or acceptable documentation that they were previously received) are required at the medical exam prior to the visa interview—there is no AOS process after US arrival for these visa categories.

Moving to K-1 Process and Procedures...

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

OK, it was a similar post from the OP and in the other I did specify that K-1s do not need vaccines, Stephen is right about CR-1s.
