our case was just completed at nvc and now waiting for an interview date which we are hoping that it will be scheduled in the first week of december...any other here who waiting for an interview date?

July 9, 2009 - received NOA1 (thanks God)

Sept. 9, 2009 - received approval email from USCIS thru CRIS

Sept. 14, 2009 - NOA2 hardcopy received by husband

Nov. 4, 2009 - CASE COMPLETE @NVC!

I'm hoping for a December interview but it appears that this may not be feasible as our case has still to be completed at NVC. I'll settle for January though. Good luck, Mae!

Were hoping for the same thing first week of Dec interview date. I plan to call the USEM tonight or tomorrow to see it our package is in the system so we can confirm a interview date.

We are hoping for December also we will see. Our case complete 10/30 so we are a few days ahead of you philmae. Told you your case complete was coming soon and it did. Can't buy tickets until I see interview date and they are going up in price daily grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Might have to fly out christmas day and return later in January back to USA for POE to save some money. In just one week tickets went up $1,000 USD or 47,000 PHP each for dates to include christmas and new years. No way am I paying $5000 for 2 tickets.

Call the US Embassy right away when you know your case is already in the embassy's system.. dont wait for the Manila US Embassy notification in the mail when you can schedule your interview... saves you time :)

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

We're also hoping for a December date. I'll be in the Phils from Dec. 20 to Jan. 2, so I'm hoping it will be somewhere in that time frame. If not, we'll take what we can get and be happy for it. :star:

I really feel your pain here - I think all the petitioners do. By far the most expensive part of the whole visa process has been plane tickets to the Philippines! My trip in December will be my second one since June. I booked way ahead (in July) and still paid over $2,000 to get from Dallas to Cebu. Last I checked, tickets on the same flight were going $4,000. Air travel within the Phils is reasonable, but the flights going there and back are outrageous!

as we are doing cr1 visa i think we need to wait for date to given to us by the NVC and then try to call USEM for rescheduling...which i found out that it works for others

my husband called NVC yesterday and they said they will schedule us next week for they always schedule interviews every 2nd week of the month..i am so happy that we catch the time for this month scheduling...and yeah we need to check if there's still a chance to get cheaper tickets online...try to check www.cheapoair.com ...a friend suggested me that site and she said it's really cheap there...hope wont go higher for the peak season...

my husband will be going here in Philippines to get me too but i think we can reserve the ticket when we will know the exact interview date and then the time frame after getting visa and have sticker from CFO, he wont stay long here this time..we are hoping we can celebrate the Christmas in US coz his family will be together in that occasion and is good time they will met me too in person... hope God will grant our wish!

For not too bad priced tickets try EVA air through Taiwan to west coast, they have pretty good one way fares, and still have avalible flights through Dec 30.
