Lining up at USEM Embassy

My girl has a 7am appt at USEM. How early before 7am does anyone recommend that she fall in line? Thx.

There is absolutley no reason to get there before 7:00. Some people find the need to wait in line for 2 hours for some reason. She has an appointment - If she is there at 7:00 she will be fine. If you are first in line, you may get out a little sooner but I think its crazy to wait in line for hours just for that.

I agree, it is going to be a long day so don't get there to early 6:45 or so would be just fine.

You have an appointment but the time seems not to matter it is the Day of the interview not the time that matters.

She should line up no later than 3AM. Just like what they do in America early at dawn on Black Friday!

30mins early is good enough...but you'll be surprised, lines become long pretty fast and those w/7:30-8AM am appts are ahead of the 7AM ones, and inside all of a sudden, it becomes a first come-first served thing, not the appt time...so you don't have to be too early but don't be late

I think 6:15 to 6:30 should be fine.

Those who arrive hours early don't seem to gain much from it.

However, If your girl wants to arrive in the wee hours then by all means she should do so. Whatever makes her calm and collected is the best.

I am sure she will be fine.

all 7:00 am appointment would start lining up by 6:00 am.

My interview 2mrw 7:15am.. so i think 630am would be fine??

An hr. before worked ok for the wife,,not every case is ever the same..in our case the phili CO was a woman and she was fairly rude..asking to see my wife's grade school record..my wife is 45 and hasn't seen her grade school records in 30 years..so the CO let that slide..next the phili CO demanded to see the wifes baptismal record..which she just happened to have by chance, so maybe this will give a heads up to someone else..the phili CO wasn't nice..at all..The american CO on the other hand was a pleasant man who looked at the pics of our times together and was more interested in our story than anything else...they seem to know ahead of time if you have what they need..just get past the phili CO and you got it made..best of luck for you and Congrats in advance..

Thanks everyone for your insightful replies. I never knew that baptismal records and elementary school transcripts were requested from the beneficiary. Maybe that CO just likes to mess with young ladies wanting to go to america for a better life. Good luck, all, and thx again.

I got there just before 6am and there was a long line already. But I didn't wait that long because they let everybody in an orderly manner.
