woooo, I just got threw NVC

They received our case on march 2nd, and sent it to the consulate at march 4th

that was quick

Apparently, me and Jl_n_JL have same timeline.

NVC have got my case too.

Although i'm in N.Ireland (UK) the NVC case number starts DBL (for Dublin). Lets hope it doesn't cause any problems with different jurisdictions. Have asked a question about it here.

How long did you give it before you called NVC?

I guess if you wait a week they should have both received it & forwarded it on.

I waited a week after receiving NOA2 hard copy.

But it goes fast at NVC. well, not for all of us, some get stuck there for 2 weeks or a month. I wonder why

Still crossing my fingers for justar. Come on VSC, give her the NOA2 so we could all be happy

It's been and gone at the NVC - on its way to London now, so we were ringing the DOS (rather than getting bankrupted by ringing the Embassy themselves on their 0900 number) to see if London have received it yet. No dice, but they said to give it 2 weeks.

Here's some info you may like then.

The NVC uses DHL to ship their packages. Once you confirm the date that the I-130 was sent, you can go on the DHL website to approximately track your case. There are forums here talking about it but I'll sum it up below.

1. Go to: http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

2. In Reference, enter the info as follows:

EXP DD MMM YYYYA

EXP is constant

DD is the date before the day the NVC said they shipped the case.

MMM is the three letters representing the month the NVC shipped the case

YYYY is the year the NVC shipped the case

A is constant

For example, if the NVC says they shipped the case on February 12 2009, this would be entered as "EXP 11 FEB 2009A"

3. Date range for shipment - From: Enter the date of the day NVC said they sent the case

4. Date range for shipment - To: Enter todays date

5. Keep the rest of the fields blank

7. Once you enter the info, press "Track"

8. After a while you will see a list of all of the packages that left the NVC today. You need to search for the specific consulate.

9. When you find the shipment the corresponds to your consulate, you will see the tracking number that you can record.

10. You can then track the shipment from the NVC to your specific Consulate

Dublin is indeed correct (by the 2nd person i spoke too, as well as the first). Apparently they assigned me to Dublin as it would be easier for me to get to.

I'll practice saying "fiance" for the interview, but i will always call him hubby.

Must remember to ring NVC tonight. After about 8:30 pm my brain shuts off, so I forgot last night, but I won't rest easy until that package has winged its way over the Pacific... It hasn't been shipped out of the NVC yet, as far as I can tell...

Just called the NVC 202 663 1225 then pressed 1 and then 0 and got a person right away. My case arrived on Tuesday and they assigned me a number, but it hasn't left the NVC yet. The consualte in MTL is sooooooooo slow they are working about 3 months for setting up interviews from thedate they receive your packet 3.

That's good news for your arwilson80. Since when have they cared about "what would be easier for anyone"? That's a first, surely! LOL! If that's the case, they'd send me to the Edinburgh embassy, which is across the street from my house! I wouldn't even need to put my coat on!

That DHL tracking thing is fantastic. I tracked mine - they received it on 5 March, but according to NVC, they've not received it, which means, they haven't bothered to log it in yet, London being one of the slowest of all embassies!

Miss Jess, I tracked yours. Yours was received on 8 March, at 1.54pm to be precise!

Just magically got through to NVC (in the middle of the day!) and found out my packet got there yesterday, and they're expecting to ship it out to Auckland tomorrow!

I found lots which were delivered on 8 March, but none for Slovenia. What date did NVC tell you they shipped it?
