still nothing!

ho hum, well next week we should see something trickle in from our dear VSC!

I sure hope so!

I'm feeling a bit better because I just got my engagement ring back (I had to take it to be resized, because my fingers apparently shrunk...) and it fits properly AND is all shiny now! :)

aww, my fiance says my ring is a very pretty one,but he won't let me see it.We cannot have a 'proposal' like a conventional one,but I am okay ,people who go the K-1 way have perhaps already figured out things would be a tad different. The love is the same though :)

I am glad the ring is fitting in on your finger!

Hi Everyone,

I know now is not the time to freak out about some mistakes if any I did while filling up the G-325a form which I sent to my fiance for our I-129f package.

But since I had already been to the US,I had been assigned an alien registration number and I filled that up in the form.Is that the right thing to do?I mean,or were we supposed to have left that blank considering we are not in the US currently or not US citizens?

I just am feeling worried about the slightest of errors causing a huge RFE terror :P

Also, there might have been one place where I realized I had made a tiny mistake,I just cut it out and wrote the correct thing beside it and put my initials on that place, that is standard practice right ?

Could someone be an angel and just tell me I am good and worrying unnecessarily?:)

Oh, poor dear! Don't stress out too much! I've been worrying about the possibility of an RFE myself. My fiance is a legal permanent resident in New Zealand, but is a UK citizen, so I've been worried that we should've sent proof of his residence. A relatively minor thing (yours, I think, are pretty minor, too!). I don't know anything about using a previously issued alien registration number - maybe they reuse them, maybe not. Maybe if you post a new topic to ask that question, you'll get an answer sooner from someone in the same position?

I think your initials thing is standard practice, and if either of those things result in an RFE, it was probably just because you were unlucky enough to get an ####### retentive reviewer. But don't worry, it seems like even if you, or any of us, do get one, it gets solved pretty quickly if you get things together and send it back to them ASAP. Your application basically stays at the top of the pile.

You'll be fine, no need to fret! I know it sounds impossible to remain Zen about everything (and I'm certainly not taking my own advice  ) but it'll be okay! If bumps come up, you'll fix them, and things will be going smoothly again. If not, AWESOME! and you eventually get your visa.

I keep trying to list all the reasons that if I were a USCIS employee, I would overlook people's silly and small mistakes... Hopefully they think the same way! I wish I could be on the phone with them when they're looking at it to explain to them everything.... Maybe that's overkill, though.

Maybe Vermont switched a bunch of people over to a new kind of visa or something... But what about us?! :crying:

Ok, ok. I have to stop thinking about this, and go do something constructive...

Thought I'd sare with you guys a picture of the little puppy who is going to join me soon in the waiting :) Maybe it will put a smile on your faces too - something we need to strive to do in the midst of this frustration..
