My date is already set (with LOTS of flexibility in our venue contract!!) - but I have advised all of my guests that if they book flights before I give the OK, I won't be held responsible if we have to move it!!

I am going to tell them that they can start booking (at their own risk still ;)) once I've received Packet 3 from the Embassy. Much lower risk of anything going wrong by then...although obviously still a risk :) I have a LOT of Brits wanting to attend and a lot of them, like me, are still pretty cash-strapped from student days, so while I would love to make them wait til the visa is issued that could mean the flights get too expensive. So it's about finding the happy medium.

I keep getting asked about flights too and i keep putting them off... it's too 'up in the air' right now to tell them that they can go ahead book anything.

We are 'scheduled' for July 24. Fits with the FL weather, MI vacation time and also the UK school & university holidays. VSC are 'taunting' us right now though.

It's hard to take comfort in 'all will be OK' knowing that the I129Fs either side of ours have both been RFE'd and ours hasn't been touched since Nov 13. :crying:

Ours was last touched on 11/12/2009 until today. And we didn't have any touch before the approval, so I really hope yours is coming soon!

Oh my God! yayyyyyy!

God am so so happy for you megan!!

I cannot begin to tell you that really, feels like its our approval :)

Hugs!

Heck yes! They're in our Nov. 6 box now! Yours is coming soon, and before you know it this huge, bone-crushing weight will be lifted off your chest!

Don't quit now, Vermont, there are still plenty of the Nov. crowd waiting! There are plenty more bagels and coffee where these came from. We'll even shovel the snow off of your driveways so you can put in an extra hour or two of approving petitions!

I am so happy for all of you, so many approvals, it's so exciting. In our October club, we never had such approvals, we had 3 or 4 in a good week.

Awesome Meggers. I'm so happy for you.

Thanks! I had no idea I could feel so relieved. The machine I use at work has been on the fritz for the last few weeks, and it just started working properly today, too. I'm worried I might be dreaming all this good news. Either that, or I'm about to find $100 on the sidewalk...

Best of luck, Nov. filers! Your time is nigh!

I have one thing to say to this - ABOUT BLOODY TIME!!!! Rest of us next please :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. that_girl and T&J, I have sharing your collective massive sigh of sheer relief! Such good news.

Miss Jess and other Brit - just found this on another thread - London is currently taking an average of 101 days from the day NVC receives your case to the date of interview to give you some control over planning the date of your nuptials! (nuptials - that's such a strange word, don't you think, or is it just me?)

...AND, we actually need you to get yours most of all cos isn't your own poor mom who is potentially our reunion co-ordinator? It would be plain wrong and so rude to have the party, all of us laughing and drinking with you own mother, if you're still locked up in the VSC jailhouse!
