I just found this site and its been so helpful reading through the post.

My fiancee and i received our NOA1 on the 20th of November.

We are missing each other alot.. I was in America when we decided to get married and during the process i had to travel back to the UK, so im now in the UK, with no job and not much money trying desperately to stay sane and find a job, any job... Why are there no jobs in England...

I'm excited to see that I-129Fs from the 17th of november are getting approved, so here's me hoping and praying ours will be on someones desk and approved very very soon.

Good luck to all in our position.. Its tough but the reward at the end will be completely worth it.

We didn't see too much activity for today yet, nobody has updated a NOA2 for today on Igor's list, I hope they're still working as hard as they did this week, especially yesterday! My case hasn't even been touched yet, come on VSC keep it up!

Thanks Doghanler, you kept us going with your humorous side of this long journey and that made the difference for me... I am hopeful that all the rest of our family members (NovVSCVJers) will be approved soon... It is very stressful journey and we all need to party now!!! Let's do the DOG in me!!!:dance::dance: Bow Wow wow!!!!

Thanks again Doghandler

I just wanted to give you guys a big congratulations on all your approvals this week! Hello everyone,

Again Congratz to all those who have gotten their NOA2s

With all this activity here lately my fiancee is getting very excited. While for me I am getting somewhat stressed. I hate to throw some down trodden information into all this joy of late but I lost my job of 6 years last October. I filed for the K-1 in November thinking I'd have plenty of time to find work. I earned around $60K. Now I earn $536.00 every two weeks. It's hell!

Anyway.... I have had my father offer to be a co-sponsor. The thing is I am sure he's a bit private about his finances and I will suggest to him that he provide me with a sealed envelope if he so chooses.

I have a couple of questions about this.

#1 Even if I get a job here in the next few weeks I will still need a co-sponsor correct?

#2 If he wants to keep his finances private when it comes to me I can submit a sealed envelpoe with his information and I won't need to answer questions in regards to it, correct?

#3 #4 and #5 My understanding is that I should submit two I-134s one his and one mine. Does the fact that I owe back taxes to the tune of $10,000 have a serious negetive affect over and above the fact that I am an unemployed looser? I have a payment plan with the IRS. should I include this information? I heard that it might be possible to have him be the soul sponsor and I just bring my I-134 and info in case it is requested... Is this a fact?

We will be dealing with the embassy in Bogota Colombia.....

Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.......

Hi nickm

Don't try too hard to stay sane, we all went nuts with the waiting months ago, so if you are still sane, we will think you are the doctor and start asking you for our medication! Welcome!

Hi - I know only 1 of the answers. The IRS question - the payment plan is crucial so yes, you must send it. I only know this cos I read it yesterday on VJ, posted by one of the clever, trusted sources people. I've tried to find the link, but can't. Will keep looking for you, but basically they said as long as you have the payment plan in place, it shouldn't be a problem, but it is absolutely crucial.

First off, my disclaimer: I sure don't know that much; only what I've read between the beginning of Nov and now, but I'll share the info I remember, and suggest that you post these questions in a separate thread so people more knowledgeable can get at 'em AND search the forums for similar posts, to see what answers others have gotten from similar questions (unless you already have :innocent: )

#1 Better to be safe than sorry...

#2 I would think this would be acceptable, but I would maybe email the embassy, to be sure. Do you know if Bogota accepts co-sponsors at all?

#3-5 The consensus seems to be that if you have IRS debt, but have arranged a payment plan, you should be alright. I would definitely submit proof of your payment plan and that you have been sticking to it. With respect to your father's sole sponsorship, etc: I'm pretty sure you NEED to be the primary sponsor, as the USC fiance, but try posting these questions in the proper regional forum. Then you can get people who have already completed the process at the same embassy to answer your questions, instead of us folk who are all giddy from just receiving or believing we're about to receive our NOA2s...
