I'm soooo getting worried, as i look everyday on the board and i see that people send soooo many proofs to the USCIS for the petition... We only sent 2 pictures that we printed from the computer, one itinary printed from my emails of one of my trips to Dallas (round-trip), and a photocopy of our receipts when we bougt sunglasses together (2 receipts, using our own credit card, so it's showing both names, from the same store at the same time). And, when we sent our package, we didn't know about VisaJourney forum, so our question 18b is not on a seperate page, it's in the little box they gave us to write the answer in on the form.

Are we most likely to get an RFE or a denial???

And, we forgot to make copies of the package, do i need copies of it for the interview or something?

OMG everyday i'm getting even more worried...

(I'm writing it here because i'm a november filer that follows this thread everyday)

I'm in the same case as you. only 2 photos for proof, passport stamps copy, and no copy of the K1 application, didn't know bout VJ till after we send it.

Those aren't things we've sent yet; they are things we are currently preparing to get ready for the interview. Don't worry! As long as you have proof that you met in the last 2 years, which it sounds like you do, you should be fine!

I made a copy of my I-129F a) because the guide told me to , b) in case they lost my packet or something, and c) so my fiance can see exactly what I sent in when he is preparing for interview questions, etc. Probably, it will end up being superfluous...

Try not to stress out too much (though I know that's tough!). Soon, all of this stress will be behind you and you and your beloved will be back together.

I only sent 2 photos. And, because all I thought they wanted was proof of meeting in last 2 years (and the actual verification of relationship was carried out at interview), I only sent evidence of our last meeting, so one passport stamp, one airline ticket etc. The only other thing I sent was a screenshot of our email headings and some phone bills. After we sent it and started reading stuff on VJ, I then panicked and kicked myself I hadn't sent more evidence of how long we've been together, evidence of other trips etc.

I got approved so hope that puts your minds at rest. What you have sent is identical to what I sent. So - No losing sleep over that one.

Thank you both, i'm already feeling a little bit better... Everyday i just get more worried seeing everybody sending TONSSS of proofs and being worried about sending maybe not enough.. But ok, i'll try and be patient and be positive about it, thanks!

(Oops, EDIT, thanks to the 3 of you, it's calming me down hehe :) )

I've heard of others getting approved with less. I may be wrong, but I think sending a bunch of proof, really aids in the interview. I don't know but good luck.

Yeah, I feel like it's recommended if you're dealing with a "difficult" consulate (e.g. Ecuador, Morocco, Nigeria) but in most cases, just proof of meeting is required with the petition. The financial stuff and ongoing relationship stuff come into play at the interview. Again, though, this is just stuff I've gleaned from lurking all over the VJ forums - not definitive rules.

You have to manually type it in under the "my controls" tab. And then manually update it anytime something new and exciting happens. Which will hopefully be soon!

Congratz to Kisk and Kristin&David for ur NOA2. Madame Irma was right :dance::dance::dance::dance:

to spencer12,

ur pm was enough, u didn't have to copy/past it here.

My post wasn't meant to be hateful against the military expedite application.

All I wrote is a sarcastic statement on the status of the applications that gets a quick NOA2. Too bad for u, and for 1 other member, u took it wrong.

But, from where I come from, there's something called "Freedom of speech". Ever heard of it?

But oh well, now I'm happy to see that Oct-Nov filers are being fairly approved. So If u wanna keep talking about this, u can pm me anytime. But pls, try not to ruin our joy, now that VSC is working in order again.

Here here!

Specer12, quite frankly I dont care what your JOB is. Hold your tongue, and get in line like the rest of us.

Arch

Also, congratulations to October and november filers who are getting approved, long may this new bout of fairness last.

I would like to clarify my above post by saying I have every respect for the armed forces and the work they do in the world, what I however have a problem with is people using it as an excuse to look down on people and claim anyone who doesn't agree with what they say are "unpatriotic" or "shouldn't be allowed to immigrate to America due to being unamerican".

As naddy pointed out, a lot of what you are fighting for is freedom of speech, and "freedom" in every respect, this includes us being free from being patronised.
