@ CaMic - We were in the same situation. Stephen sent a money order, so we could find out our case # only after NOA1 was in the mail box. I understand the way you feel. All I can say is try to be patient. The USCIS site says you can have your I-797Form within 30 days. If not, just try to get'em on the phone. I see your I-129F made it to VSC on Nov, 17. Usually they issue your NOA1 3 or 4 days later and send it by mail. So I guess your NOA1 date would be around Nov 23... It has to be on its way!!

As Miss Jess said, the first "Last Updated Date" ( :) ) on USCIS account means they've already scanned your petition (the bar code). That means you're officially in their data base, queueing in the process. From there, no one knows what happens next. Nor what they do further on. Everytime your petition is "touched" it simply means that someone's just scannned it, but you'll never know what for. (Now that is really annoying!) It's like a black hole, as someone named the process here on forum... You can only hope that they're going to approve it soon. And that depends on everyone's (petitioner) background and complexity of each case. I hope this helps. You can always find more info on the forum, that's my source anyway... ;)

And Miss Jess (Hi! :) ) you didn't necessarily speak too soon. :) It's just an estimated time, right? Only statistics based on people's timelines here. It's not 100% acurate. You can be very lucky and you might get approved sooner (let's say early January - which I really do hope so for you!) and then, according to your timeline, the statistic dates change. And you give hope to the others that VSC moves faster. Which is a good thing, in my opinion, since that's all we have now, right? We only need a huuuge amount of luck and it's done! :)) Btw, it's a good thing in a way to get approved in Feb. for me too. But my sanity would not appreciate it either... :D

NOOO!!!

In the last two days, my timeline has jumped backward by two weeks! (I'm assuming the same thing has happened to all of us...) I had a sliver of hope that I would get my NOA2 by the end of the year, but that's been dashed. Sigh.

I hope you guys see your NOA1 in the mailbox soon! And that all of us see our approvals shortly.

I-129F

6 Nov 2009: NOA1

2 March 2010: NOA2 (116 days)

14 April 2010: Interview (159 days) Approved!!

30 April 2010: Married!

AoS

18 May 2010: NOA1 for AoS, EAD and AP

8 June 2010: Case transferred to CSC

10 June 2010: Biometrics completed

31 July 2010: EAD and AP received!

9 Sept. 2010: RFE email for AoS

(RFE for medical. We replied with letter stating that it's not required since done overseas within one year)

18 January 2010: Interview - passed! Card production ordered!

I'm sorry you're feeling like that but remember it's just based on AVERAGE processing times of people on VJ who keep the info up to date, could even be down to someone hitting the wrong key when entering their details, lol. We can only hope :)

Hello everyone

I thought this post would have been weeks ago, things sure keep us busy these days. I hope everyone's Christmas is going well.

Sorry about not posting sooner, I have not seen any indication my status has changed since 2 days after arrival. I recieved my hard copy very fast and was very hopeful for a fast processing time. I was hoping to give my fiance some good news for the holidays but,,,,doesn't look like that is going to happen.

I have followed every piece of advice and read all the important documents more times than I can count. I expect my package to be easy for them, lol.

I wish you all the best with your holidays and being seperated from your loved ones, maybe VSC can spread a little Holiday cheer for everyone.

I enjoy reading everyone's progress, Thanks

Woot we got our NOA1 reference number last night!!

Our NOA1 is dated the 7th December. I was just wondering is there an way to view average processing times by service centre, visa type and counrty all in one go?

Thanks

AngelBlu: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...,28&op6=All

Try that, and see if you can get what you want out of it. Good luck!

Our turn is coming soon! They're just over halfway through October petitions! So, maybe not in time for the holidays, but hopefully most of us will get our NOA2s before Valentine's Day 2010!

GC expires on Mar 20, 2010. We can send the I-751 now, But I am thinking that it may be better to wait until Jan 2, 2010. I do not want anything lost in the Xmas shuffle. And, everyone will be back on Jan 2 from their holidays.

I already had a card with a cash card disappear in the mail.

So, what does everyone think?

Hey Tom,

You might have better luck getting your question answered if you post in a different thread. This one is full of people who just submitted their original 129Fs last month, so you're WAY further than any of us are in the process.

Oh! I see you've already posted in the removing conditions section! nm, then. And, of course, good luck!

Hey....I happen to be visiting my love and her family for the holidays. Any suggestions on what forms or information we could be preparing or gathering while I'm here in Bogota?......When we get to the interview stage, her birth certificate will need translation or no? Any suggestions are appreciated....
