Okay I've been commenting on here for a while, my fiancee and I received our NOA1 on November 20th. I work and live in Florida in the hospitality industry. The amount of Haitian workers that I see everyday is staggering. This is coming from Ohio originally I think that is probably why I think that way. In Ohio the only Haitians you would ever see are doctors or psychologists, here it seems that you couldn't run a housekeeping department without them, so much so that in my industry I think I would be better of learning French or Creole instead of Spanish. Yes the majority of them send money back to family but the single ones that are here have girl/boyfriends and/or fiance/es that are still in Haiti. This has made me think quite a bit about the different people that have been getting approved before us. Yes the ones that are closest to my heart are the soldiers, I couldn't think of a better feeling than knowing that while I was fighting for my country at home waiting for me was my wife/husband. The 2nd would be the Haitians that make a much larger group than one would think and I would venture a guess that most live in Florida which is under the VSC. I would also venture a guess that the VSC would not only process new applications quicker but also go back to the people that had already applied. Unfortunately this very well could be what has delayed October/November but I would not want to take the place of either group. I myself still believe that when November comes around I will be getting married to my wonderful bride.

I urge the rest of this thread to think positively, the negative energy will just destroy us and that's not going to help any of us survive the wait. Good luck to everyone and I hope for sanity sake we all get good news soon. I'm not saying chill out or stop worrying but I will say maybe the bigger picture makes more sense than it would if you look at it just at the surface. Am I preparing my letter to my congress woman, yes but I doubt I will be putting anger in the letter just concern. I will say that the only words that I will release on this forum will be positive and uplifting because that is what I need. I get enough drama at work, I get enough politics at work, and I get enough stress by being away from the woman that I love, I come here for support so I will not tell people to stop the negativity but I will try to encourage you to be uplifting to each other.

As a side note to "Haitian Americans" here is the wikipedia page about the (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haitian_American) all top 36 communities that Haitian Americans live are in VSC territory.

Well put, Yensid - thanks for that! I agree that we should definitely try to keep the energy positive. I was angry for a while about the processing order, etc. but I just don't have the energy to keep that up, and I don't want to spend every conversation I have with my beloved complaining about how "another December/January filer was approved before us!!" I'm saving all my fight for the five months, and if I don't have an NOA2 by then, Congressmen, letters, and incessant phone calls will be unleashed. Until then, I'll just be checking out lots of library books...

Has any Nov/09 filers for the k-1 visa in Canada heard anything back yet, all I have is that they received it and it hasn't really moved since. Its now Feb 19/2010, and still I have heard nothing back yet!!!!!!! So impatient,hoping to be with my fiance by my birthday this October Heck I'll even take Christmas, don't want to spend it alone again! so sad!

just sitting on pins and needles for the most part, I have been an emotional basket case. I am so nervous for I have no clue as to what is next or even if his petition is accepted and so on. A very frustrating experience and one that I do discourage if anybody asks me what has been going on so far. I never thought that we would have to be seperated for so long and then when I found out that it may take even up to a year, the tears where falling and the very throught of me and my baby having to spend another Christmas alone, just kills. Its very difficult to for him to travel to me, I mean he has two daughters and our love bird (Tabooh), not to mention a job. I am to nervous to travel for maybe they will not allow me to travel to the States, my lawyer indicated that we are now flagged since his petition went in and there is the possibility that I could get turned away. I feel like a criminal for crying out loud, I am from Canada, I have no reason to be trying just marry some American to get a green card, my country is amazing, has great health care to just to mention one of the great things about it.

We are all here for you and all are going threw similar situations. We just have to keep up hope that we will all have the chance to be with the ones we love soon. Try to focus on the positive things that we do have, like the fact that we do have someone who is so in love with us that they are waiting for us. Good luck and I hope you hear something soon.

hi everyone! we're also a november filer. what's going on is really depressing and stressful but i'll just keep in mind that maybe they have reasons why our applications have been prolonged. let's not feel bad about it because it's over 3months that we submitted our applications and few more weeks isn't that bad to wait. it's not like you're starting over another 3 months...it will come soon. It may take some time but it's worth waiting Few more weeks waiting to a lifetime hugs and kisses Think positive and more patience. God Bless us all.

Oh, I've definitely had my pessimistic days, too. Crying at work yesterday when my boss came in to ask how everything was going; definitely not one of my better moments... But my honey and I always try to remind each other that we only have to do it once, and it's only a few months (hopefully!) of being apart in order to be able to spend the rest of our lives together. This time next year, we'll be cuddling with our beloveds, and all this waiting for NOA2s will seem like a fading bad dream. At least when we're waiting for green cards, etc. to be approved, we'll be waiting together.

My fiance tells me "We've made it this far, I just need you to hang on a little longer!" Just a little longer.... sigh. And then, he changes the subject to the latest cricket match, but that's another story

It's coming, team! We're on the approval cusp!

My fiance tells me the same thing, but dang it's taking so long to get the petition approved and as for crying at work, that is me to. I feel so overwhelmed and hope that by my Birthday in Oct 28/10 I will be back and planning our wedding once and for all, its not easy trying to invite people and get things ready when I have no clue as to when or whatever, I hope to hear something back, but I am not holding my breath that would be suicide put mildly,

Sorry but I have to laugh/smile at this. I changed my password yesterday on USCIS and I did the same thing when I checked my email later!!!!
