I'll leave this thread alone and let you guys drive each other more insane until your head explodes.

You all behave like you are the only ones going through this process. There's 2-3 new "November" threads every day on these boards.

I really hope you all get your NOA2's soon though.

Mapt.

I don't think they want you to play in their Sandbox anymore... LOL LOL LOL

So, to get our NOA1 in less then a month :

1 - The alien fiancee must live in a poor country

2 - The American fiancee must be deployed (so they give him like 2 weeks to "live", then off to the desert)(i may (will) sound evil, but they are giving a visa to someone who will "live" 2 weeks-1 month with her fiancee, get married, then he will deployed. and here she finds herself alone in a new country for over a year (maybe more, if her fiancee (i hope not) doesnt come back). Great !!! )

2 - ask my hubby to deploy. we might get a chance to "have a life" for 2 weeks. then god knows what will happen.

I just found out how USCIS determines the processing times. It is really an ####-backward calculation that is absolutely meaningless. Basically the 5 months is their goal. They will not say anything less than that. But the way they calculate it is, they start by looking at the total pending cases. (7323 for VSC in Nov 09) Then they look at how many I-129Fs they receive per month and start subtracting the receipts from the pending cases until it equals 0. So basically as long as they are keeping their pending applications constant and their receipts constant, their processing times will always be 5 months. (VSC has been averaging about 1800 receipts per month. They had 7323 in NOV 09. So 7323/1800 = 4.07 months.)

It just surprised me that it had nothing to do with an actual average wait time.

Wow some people really are shallow when it comes to waiting an extra few months. Dont you think we would do that in exchange for our fiancees not having to deploy?

So pls, don't BS me about "patience", I donno about u, but i wont wait 1-2 month to get "maybe" approved, then 1-2 month for the interview, and we don't know at the end if we will be approved. I wanna be with my hubby NOW.

I have respect for the ppl who are fighting for this country. my hubby was a marine, and now he is a firefighter.

But now I have no more respect for the ppl who work for this government.

Now tell me that what they are doing is fair.

To be with ur fiancee in less then 3 month, u have to pay with ur life. If u only pay money (taxes), u have to wait 6-7 month. wow, that's fair.

THANK YOU visacat!

jeez..and this coming from someone that has the capability of relocating to be with their SO while waiting?

some of us aren't even in the position to visit our SOs, until interview, which could be like july or august...i think its pretty common knowledge that waiting is the name of the game..

gimmie a break!

Its about allowing the fiancee to get over in time to be in the US to set up a home and be able to even talk to their fiancee whilst they are deployed. If I was still in the UK I would not even be able to speak with him until he returned home. So I would rather be in the US in my new home and working hard so he can have less stress knowing im going to be there for him when he comes home.

Haiti and Immigration: Confronting the Rumors

Rumor #3 - USCIS will delay adjudication of any non-Haitian applications and petitions.

The facts: USCIS had taken steps to allocate all available resources to handle the influx of Haiti TPS/earthquake relief-related applications while continuing to process its pre-existing workload. There may be some delays due to the increased workload generated by the Haiti relief efforts, but USCIS is processing applications received from all applicants and petitioners.

U don't even know what it's like to see VNC skipping ur application to work on ones sent month after urs. And I'm a november filer. Go tell the September and October ones that u have the right to receive ur NOA2 in 20 days, and they have to wait 5+ month cos they are not "men".

I would have loved to see how u would feel if u had to wait more then 2 month for ur NOA2. but we will never know, will we?
