It seems that sometimes USCIS is a day slow in reporting stuff on their website. Probably because of us. Oh well, here are the stats for 11/10...

2 Approvals from yesterday showed up today.

No activity today. Maybe I'm already approved and don't know it. 477 and 522 were approved yesterday. I am 442, so I'm close.

Looking at this weeks activity for 11/10...

I kind of think that persons NOA1 date might be a typo...

I thought the same thing.

For those of you checking cases and updating spreadsheets. I discovered another thing that might simplify checking.

If your so inclined to do the work. You can create hyperlinks from your spread sheet of cases.

For example if in slot B3 you have EAC1001750173, you can add the following formula

=hyperlink("https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/ChangeLocale.do?appReceiptNum=EAC1001750173&localeLang=en";"EAC1001750173")

Then when you click on slot B3 you'll see a little box with an arrow in it to the side of the slot. Click that and it will launch a webpage of that cases and it's status.

I looked at 12/15 and here's the following stats...

Activity this week:

5 Approvals

5 RFE

Total activity:

36 Approved

This is starting to drive me completely insane. Why December 15th......why why why just a random freaking day. Almost 50% petitions looked at #######.

I have a feeling that they just sit there, put down all the days on a piece of paper, shuffle them in a hat and then pull them out. Someone lost a bet and has to do the whole Dec 15th day this month I guess....

Whatever, I am not even coherent anymore, just a raging psycho

Realistically, I tend to believe it's a numbers game and their methodologies play into to some sort of averages scenario. There was the Christmas holiday and after that there were some pretty severe storms up there. I'd assume some boss felt charitable over the holidays and ok'd too many extended vacations. Then during the storms there were too many "Snow Days". So to doctor the numbers and maintain their averages they had to show some activity in December. To me working around Government entities such as NASA this doesn't seem too farfetched. I've seen them do some pretty creative and ludicrous things to make themselves look good numbers wise. It's just my take on things, I could be totally off base............ Bottom line is............... My fiancé and I should be next...................... If you take into account the fact that Tuesday frequently falls just after the third Monday of every month that begins with a letter J in odd years, and the fact that beer nuts are most often around $1.49 while deer nuts are always under a buck, then I would have to say that it is only logical. Show me the flaw in my logic and I'll concede............ Don't get me wrong, I'm also thinking of all of you who have taken the time to figure all of this out. I believe you should see your work pan out in a very positive way. I mean really....Wouldn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy if we, who filed in later half of November, slide in front of you and take the brunt of the worries of November filers getting neglected away?

We filed about the same time. I wouldn't mind that scenario, but I'd prefer a more balanced approach.

This is on USCIS website: How To Calculate My Cycle Time.

Why USCIS Calculates Cycle Times

USCIS calculates processing times for every office and for every form in order to determine whether or not an office has a backlog in any given form.

When the processing time for a form exceeds the processing time target, a backlog necessarily exists for that form type.

Therefore, processing times provide USCIS management with an indicator of how quickly cases are being processed. In situations where the calculated processing time indicates that a backlog exists, USCIS management is able to identify this problem and apply resources to eliminate the backlog.

I hope they aren't letting our cases back up so it appears they have a back log, so they can hire more people, and increase their budgets.

Or I hope soon they realize they are falling behind and hire more people. I just don't want to wait 5 months + for it. :(

I was contacted by Jim Webb's office today. His office is going to contact VSC and ask questions. He is going to tell the VSC to keep him informed of all progress on the case, and I was given a POC at his office if I have any questions. We will see how this works.

I hope that strikes a bit of work ethic into the hearts of the case workers up there at the VSC. Tomorrow will be 3 months exactly from my NOA1 date. And although my rational brain knows that's well within the projected processing time, my irrational brain (which seems to be taking over more and more these days) says, "I don't care! I want it NOW!"

No, it is not that your irrational brain is taking over, all one has to do is look at the chart of Igor's List. Look at each month's progress bars on the chart and compare that to November's bar. It is as if November's bar does not exist and this is what needs to be pointed out to VSC. Is this the norm at VSC or are they playing games with people's emotions and hefty fees to the tune of $455 per app? If it is a norm then it is unfair and need to be corrected. If they are playing a game, then it should be investigated. Hopefully, Jim Webb's folks can get the real answer

I want to thank everyone who have really put in a lot of work. I know it gives me alot more hope in knowing I am not the only one waiting on the process to finish. You guys and gals have been a big help for me just by reading your stories and then the spreadsheet you have going is great.

It is nice to see such teamwork come together for everyone.

thanks

From a different angle, I know the company I work for would have long been gone if our output matched the current levels of VSC. I have to make jokes, if I don't the depression starts to kick in and I want to book the next plane. I can't imangine in todays world anything taking this long. I have seen huge buildings and bridges built in less time.

Keep up the good work,
