But what is the reason for there to be approvals for December filers? That is the thing that bothers me. If anyone should have been processed that quickly, it should have been me.

Do not attempt to understand how the USCIS functions...it will drive you crazy. Remember, we're dealing with a branch of the U.S. Gov't. Although it is the best form of government, it is a very slow process.

I have accepted the fact that I will receive my NOA2 in 3 -4 months no matter what pattern may exists.

Stay positive everyone.

None of the cases still in initial review were processed today. That is terribly depressing. I started comparing today's received-processing VSC and CSC. The VSC received-processed at least 1000 cases today and so far CSC only around 500. Of the cases at the VSC I'd say of the 1000 or so 85% of those are cri89. While at the CSC nearly 85% of theirs are OS155A. I dont know what this means. Maybe VSC is only doing cri89s. The filing fees for the crI89(i-751) is $545.00 I wonder if USCIS is trying to get this years budget. From my checking cases, I'd say the majority of cases for the last three months have been cr189 (which I believe is really only a notice of receiving i-751).

Hi. I just sent our I-129F off today and thought I'd kick it off for the November crowd. My fiance left the US and I'm already going crazy waiting for him to be back here, but it sounds like I've got to get used to the idea of being a bit lonely for several months yet.

Any other November filers to commiserate or be hopeful with?

please i really dont understand why they are not treating the cases likethey use to.when i check the processing time i see that they skip some days and move forward instead of going accordinly fromday to day..what is wrong with them this november..my Noa1 came in on november 9 and i see then processing november 18,20 and the rest..whats going on

I wish I could answer that. There really seems to be no patterns or consistencies. My own personal theory is that VSC has redirected much of their staff to process forms different from I-129fs. Which ones, why, and for how long, I wish I knew. Unfortunately there are still Many October cases still pending before we Nov filers. Maybe if you imagine of 10 people processing cases, and they take 8 away to file I821 forms (EAC1007950009). Well assume the 2 remaining will work all the cases in their stack from bottom to top. Then you would have Dec, Nov filers being processed, before October filers in the stacks of the other 8 workers. Guessing.

one of the most plausible theories ive heard.

It's perfectly feasible, unfortunately. After all we know that temps were hired and a big push made on I-129Fs to clear that backlog, so it stands to reason that while they were doing that something else e.g. CRI89s were piling up.

Guess it's a case of trying to keep 1 million plates spinning when you're only 500 people or whatever....I'd almost be sympathetic, if the rest of my life wasn't hanging on the decision of some temp who will look at my lovingly put-together file that's stuffed in a box!!

But they ARE processing...albeit slower. From the looks of things CSC are going at about the same speed right now (and they have had similar problems with November filers being processed ahead of a lot of October people).

I am still hopeful, because that's all I've got...
