we phoned up and were quoted any number of reasons this may happen:

"that maybe there is one person who finished all of thier november ones and is moved on to the december ones or

that some may require more evidence..etc"

Props to you for giving them a call. Too bad, though, that they couldn't give you a more satisfying answer. An answer like, "Oh, actually you were approved just an hour ago - the system just hasn't been updated yet..."

But it's coming, people! I've decided I'm going to try not to freak out too much until we hit the 3 month mark (6 Feb 2010). Hopefully we won't have to see the monster I'll turn into if I don't get an NOA2 by then...

9 Sept. 2010: RFE email for AoS

(RFE for medical. We replied with letter stating that it's not required since done overseas within one year)

18 January 2010: Interview - passed! Card production ordered!

This is getting very irritating. On VJ there have been 7 November approvals in California, 3 December approvals in Vermont, and only 1 November approval in Vermont. If Haiti was the reason for the slowdown, CSC would have been equally impacted. If they are working other petitions, OK. Just don't let that one person start working Dec while no one else is working Nov. Seeing how I work in DC, I may try to visit one of my Senators tomorrow during lunch or email the Director of VSC himself. I think I will send him an email at the end of the week if there is no progress. Or maybe I should just resubmit it. It seems like that will be faster.

Yeah, I think after my 3 full months OR a bunch more December filers are approved, if we November people have no action, I'm going to write a letter to the ol' Congressman. If they can't sort out some health care reform, hopefully they can get on a laptop during a filibuster and sort out my visa approval!

Yep fair play to you for calling :) I guess we have to take them at their word and hope that our cases are near the top

of the next pile?! An answer is better than no response...i guess :)

For those of you who are feeling guilty for what has happened in Haiti, you can text a donation there.

Here’s how it works. To donate $10 to the American Red Cross, text "HAITI" to "90999". You’ll then receive a message asking you to confirm the donation. Text "Yes" and you’re all set.

For me I paid my taxes and my 455.00 dollars in fees and I don't want to wait 5 months for my packet to get buried under a stack of Dec,Jan, Feb, March, April, May filers. I don't think we should not help the poor people out, but can't we do both. Open up a special unit to deal with these people, that focuses only on them. They'll get the attention they need and we wont get lost in the pile.

You are missing the point (even tho I agree with what you are saying, and kudos for saying it)

If EVERYONE was getting delayed due to haiti, np, I understand that. But it doesn't explain why non haitian people who applied in december (before the earth quake for what its worth!) are getting processed before those who applied in november.

These are two separate issues, both are annoying.

I hope I'm wrong but from the articles I read the majority of the Haitians are located in Florida, which file at the VSC. Also I'd like to make a guess on some of the recent approvals. One of the last couples I saw who got a fast track approval, also got denied just as quickly. Someone suggested to me that they were passed through because the adjuster knew they would get axed at the interview. Second guess the two approvals I saw from this December were from South America. Maybe they are also being fast tracked or perhaps they are probably going to get axed in the Consular there. I don't know guessing, maybe they are (get ready for crazy) part of a drug cartel and have somebody on the inside of the USCIS. HuH? :P

Hi. I just sent our I-129F off today and thought I'd kick it off for the November crowd. My fiance left the US and I'm already going crazy waiting for him to be back here, but it sounds like I've got to get used to the idea of being a bit lonely for several months yet.

Any other November filers to commiserate or be hopeful with?

please does anybody know whats going with people like me who got their NOA1 on november 9,when i check the processing times i see that it nevr got to that date but went above it..i thought they said its first come first serve..am not likeing this

It's a mystery to most of us here too. Welcome to the frustrated and confused group.

I found this earlier it is USCIS blog. You can read blog and leave comments. Go there and ask why, leave complaint, or call the director a *#$#%#$#. :D

As far as I know the VJ estimates work on averages. People from december being processed will hugely push up the average date. If you look at igor's list, u can see a tiny tiny % of november filers have been processed, where as about 5% of december ones have, vastly pushing up the average.

How ever you swing it, we are getting screwed though lol!

Ok here I am again with another theory. I went back to the USCIS website and started entering in cases for OCT26 again, because that was where I found the most regular amount of processing. I believe OCT26 was the I-129f day for filing. I found that about 1 in 5 visa cases received there that day(not just fiance visas), were I-129f. Many of which have been receiving their approvals, rfe, or denials, in the date range of Dec23-Jan 21. I think the reason things seem to have slowed is because of the sheer number of cases to process before us. So our villain here is our own visa brothers and sisters. LOL.

Here is a small sampling

Oct26

EAC1001750410 rfe January 19, 2010

EAC1001750411 approve January 19, 2010

EAC1001750417 approve January 19, 2010

EAC1001750420

EAC1001750423

EAC1001750424 approve December 28, 2009

EAC1001750427 rfe January 11, 2010,

EAC1001750428 approve January 13, 2010,

EAC1001750431 approve December 23, 2009,

EAC1001750432 rfe January 19, 2010

EAC1001750435 rfe January 8, 2010

EAC1001750437 rfe January 7, 2010

EAC1001750440

I like this new theory because the answer is regular processing :)

if you all want a good non-vsc related laugh, I just tried to return to my flat in Leeds after several days of lovely tlc from my mum further north...only to discover my

keys were IN the flat and my flatmate has buggered off to scotland for 2 days!! So I am locked out and having to return up north...doh!!
