ive concluded igor's list is nonsense, due to the fact that so many people don't update time lines, unless I am reading it wrong.

And I am all for founding the anti ferret league!

Yes, Igor's list sure isn't omnipotent; it's only as good as the data that users input. But it's not Igor's fault! Unless Igor is a ferret...

On the up side, the ferrets are still more competent than what ever species it took 5 months for them to process each petition!

Are you looking at the UC-Berkeley one? The one under the Immigration Timelines tab on VJ always has them in order by NOA1, I think. You're probably right about the "last updated" thing. I guess Igor is just quirky like that.

Excuse me, how did you look up cases on USCIS? I'm not familiar with this option. Thankyou.

It's a manual process. :D

Your receipt number is not a random number. Here is how to understand it...

The first 3 letters is the location it was received (EAC is Vermont)

The first 2 numbers is the Fiscal Year the document was received. (Oct 1 2009 was the beginning of 10)

The next 3 numbers is the working day within the FY that the document was received on. (Oct 1, 2009 is 001, Nov 10 is 028, Nov 23 is 036)

The last five numbers is the order that the document was received on that day. (50001 is the first document received)

So...

EAC1000150001 is the first document received at VSC in FY10.

EAC1000250001 is the first document received at VSC on the second working day.

EAC1003650001 is the first document received at VSC on Nov 23, 2009

Then to find the first I-129F of the day, you start at 50001 and work your way up until you find an I-129F. You can save that case and track it. It can be a tedious process. That is why I only looked at the first one received each day. I am tracking the first one received on 10/19, 10/23, 10/29, 11/4, and mine(11/10). Not one of them has been touched since about 4 days after their receipt.

Oooh and I've found some figures for you all...

VSC I-129F PROCESSING FIGURES FOR NOV 2009:

Pending: 7,323

Receipts: 1,835

Completions: 2,155

My point being - they are clearly working on them just maybe not on VJ cases?? Here's hoping....

If you look at the trends, in Nov 2009 they had their fewest I-129F completions in a month since Dec 2008. Half as much as they had in the previous 3 months.

If you look at the national trend for all documents, they had their fewest completions since Nov 2008. It's like half the workforce disappears in Nov. Slowly recovers in Dec, and then begins to fully recover in January.
