Awwww thanks :) I'm actually not interviewing til Thursday but going down to London town tomorrow night. Packing is the order of the evening tonight - first thing that's going in the suitcase is the visa file!!!

Feeling less nervous today, just can't wait for it to be over :) (and I'm actually quite happy about having a day off work, I'm totally frazzled!!)

Hehe, sorry, my brain got in a bit of a kerfuffle with my family being here over the weekend and then having to go away for work the morning after dropping them at the airport. I hope it went super-well!

Well......a bit of bad news....sigh :(

Joseph had his interview, all went well except my divorce decree was apparently not a "certified copy", although that is what I requested. So we are approved, pending receipt of the certified copy which I have on its way to me now. I will overnight it to the embassy when it arrives. So overall, its good but more delays......hate delays!!

At least the interview and uncertainty are over. They just need one more thing from you, and you'll be all set. In the home stretch now!

Girls, I phoned NYC this morning ( we are getting married there ) and the woman said all I need is the valid passport and a translated birth certificate, no SSN for NYC ( in case somebody else is getting married there ) . So we are all set and good to go ! :)

And thanks for your help !

Great! Good news!

I booked my flight today: it's gonna be on June 22nd!!! I still can't believe it's happening!!!:dance::dance:

Awww, congrats! Can't wait until you're here in the US!

Miss Jess

Bloody marvelous news. It's DONE. All in all, it "only" took 7 months and 2 spontaneous combustions. And you look like Cheryl Cole. And you are far to gorgeous to be slumming it in a HOSTEL!

Aw mrs dog, you flatter me!! I just wish I had her hair...and her money...and her shoes ;)

2 spontaneous combustions really is quite restrained for me ;)

Well last night, over a glass of cava (and following 2 mojitos for Dutch courage!) and whilst watching the most boring football match known to man (we can only hope England vs USA is more exciting) - I booked my flight!! :D October 21st is the day, gonna POE in Chicago then i'm connecting from there to Orlando.

It's on, and I'm SO excited!!! :D

Wohooo Miss Jess! Congratulations

Great news!

LOL - thank you!!

Had a bit of the come-down at the weekend unfortunately. My dad, who just turned 80, collapsed at his birthday party. He's OK, thank god (and thank god I volunteer with St. Johns - not that I was able to do much, but it kept me calm in a sea of total panic!!) - but as this is the 8th time it's happened now, it looks like he won't be able to travel to the wedding to give me away :crying:

So now we're on Plan B, which is - get Jason on a plane in August, non-legal (VERY non-legal!!) ceremony in my dad's back garden so he can still walk me down the aisle :) J's plane ticket at that time of year is going to cost a bloody fortune but I want my dad to be involved so the cost doesn't matter....I haven't told him (my dad) my thoughts yet and I know he's going to be really upset cos he hates the idea of getting old and not being able to do as much, so I'm quite strssed out.

But on the upside, I get to see J sooner than October - and it's an excuse to buy another pretty dress ;)
