The estimated timeframes are back today and are running 2-3 weeks behind on the times given before they disappeared 3 weeks ago..

Go VSC !!!!

Okay, PJ, I'm glad to see some enthusiasm from you, finally :)

Everyone, and I mean, everyone , has to realize that:

a) VJ presents a very measly fraction of petitions going through VCS/CSC

B) people do not update their timelines

Between these two, all of us just have to be patient and hopeful. Guys and girls, in the end - all of us will get our petitions processed, and we will have our loved ones by our side.

We have to endure it once and that's it :)

Back on VSC topic - I think VSC has been processing, but it just might not have been the people here on VJ. We are talking about around 300 here waiting for approval, when the real number of petitions is in thousands.

We'll get there people, time flies by even when it seems like every hour lasts a lifetime

P.S. Don't get me wrong, all of this waiting is a personal version of Hell for me and my wimmin too, but we all will endure

Good luck, everyone

Слава Україні!

I'm confused...the link I am using for Igors list is http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/vsc.aspx and I dont see any estimated dates, is this the wrong one?

You can see your estimated date by clicking on your own timeline link in your profile. Your timeline currently states the following:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between February 20, 2010 and March 13, 2010

Note that it could very well change as more approvals are updated.

I looked up cases on USCIS and looked for the first I-129F received each day at VSC from Oct 19 until Nov 10 (17 work days). From that small sample, only 6% received an NOA2. The other 94% have yet to be touched. I think Oct 15-25 is the average with a few anomalies pushing the date on VJ to Nov 15.

Ok it's official Vermont can burn in he__. California is already filing November cases. Meanwhile Vermont has barely begun the October filers.

The time line estimate on the immigration timelines page is for sh__. Vermont has been November 3, October 25, November 15, Now November 12, and as far as what I can see there is only one case with an NOA1 in November approved and that was for Nov3. I don't know who maintains this site, but they need to scrap that, causes its sh__.

Seeing how they aren't filing cases anyway may all the Aholes at Vermont fall down on their pencils today.

However; I now believe the reason for the slow down in processing to be either two causes. 1. The USCIS is swamped with adoption cases for Haitian orphans. See this. or 2. The greedy over extended aholes are waiting for the rate increase for visas to be approved. See this.

Thinking about the Haiti situation - this could definitely be having an impact (and I think this even more after seeing an article about this very subject on BBC1 this morning). But- surely this would also impact CSC? Or have I missed something?

I feel bad because the Haiti situation is devastating but it's obviously very bad news for us...so I feel very guilty for having such selfish thoughts when people are suffering.

There are 2 things we have to remember, folks (and I say these things as a massively neurotic control freak, so believe me it pains me ;)):

1. There is absolutely nothing we can do about this right now. That sucks, but until we hit the 5 month mark USCIS aren't interested.

2. Visa Journey is not gospel!! I do refer to it as the Bible quite frequently ;) - but those timelines are not a true indicator of absolutely everything that is going on....good OR bad. If we pin all our hopes on that timeline or our estimated approval date we will ALL go totally mad.

I know that's easier said than done - and believe me when I was speaking to my boy the other day I was kicking off big style and pretty upset - but I learned this on a smaller scale 2 weeks ago when I was trapped in Gatwick airport for 3 days unable to get a flight to Orlando. I lost precious time with my boy and the killer thing was that there was absolutely nothing I could do to change that situation. You just have to deal with it.

Do we want to start telling some jokes to lighten things up a bit?! I'm sick of being depressed!!

Thinking of you all :)

100% true. I'll be happy if i get a NOA2 in Feb, but at the same time it would also be nice to have it before the end of Jan. :)

Would help with getting flights booked - especially as it has to fit in with UK University holidays, US schools being off, UK schools being off & everyones vacation time schedules. Bleh! :)
