Great news beantown! You waited a long time for your NOA2. Your interview date is 2 months away but at least you can start making plans. Well done Canadian embassy, for getting the letter out to you in 3 weeks.

Doesn't it seem like every global natural, economic and political event somehow affects the K1 process? This is like a hurricane where all the flows of the world end up... and the aliens are right in the middle :) Make for a good movie.

Miss Jess, I hope you make it, you really need a break!!!!

hey KisK - you settled in yet?

Let me know how your puppy has settled too when you've got a spare minute.

Hi folks, quick update...

Yesterday afternoon it really looked like I had a chance but I think now there is no hope, although I still haven't heard officially. Virgin are making an announcement about their schedule tomorrow at 10.30 tonight - in theory I could still fly but I reckon there is no chance. Virgin's customer service so far has been somewhat lacking they haven't exactly kept me updated.

Anyway as soon as I hear I'll be on the phone to rebook - if I can get out before Saturday then I'm going otherwise I'll have to wait another month. (and of course you know my interview date will be right in the middle of that!!)

Feel like just sitting and home and crying - I still can't believe this is happening yet again - but still gotta work, so just have to hold myself together. Thanks for all your good wishes :)

Aww ! We feel for you Miss Jess.It is too bad that this had to happen now, but hopefully it will all have calmed down when there are other more important things happening like your final move for your wedding and then you probably would hate to have anything hamper your plans. So while we hope you can still make it,we also hope you are safe.I would also wish you got a break from work soon sweety :)

GREAT!!! Oh, thank goodness.

Yes, the poor dear is going to be traveling for ages - he leaves tomorrow (weds) at 6 pm or so my time, but doesn't arrive until 7 am (again, my time) on Friday! That boy is definitely getting some bacon and eggs when we get home :luv:

It's true, I'll probably be enjoying some absence from VJ for a while, but I'll surely be checking in to see when my dear friends have gotten their stinking interviews!

Hugs to you all!

Like God, what did we do to deserve this. I'm so frustrated.

Like this stupid volcano eruption couldn't happen like 1 month ago? why did it have to happen now, when all of us European, and those who's flight go threw Europe, are so close to fly out to our loved ones.

And now, what will we hear from our respective stupid consulate : "Oh, we are sorry, the volcano smoke got into our brains (if there was any), this is why we are processing your cases 4 times slower then usual."

God I'm so mad and frustrated. I have no patience anymore. They don't seem to understand that it really hurts to be away from the loved ones, specially when they are in a situation where they need you the most to comfort them.

I'm sorry guys, but I'm really in a really bad mood.

And Miss Jess, have you looked into coming to France, then take the EuroStar (a train that goes threw the underwater tunnel) to the UK? will cost more, but if you really need to go, maybe that's a solution.

I'm out

Have a safe flight Miss Jess.I read that they have finally opened the airspace a bit and given he okay for flying. And it is great that you will be able to make it to your boy :)

Sorry Naddy. It is very disappointing to see the French embassy just sitting on their ####### and not being able to send a packet!! Common, is it really that difficult or are they plain incompetent?I hope you see some sign of life there by the end of this week.Really praying for you.

I am waiting impatiently for my interview, more than a month away.Hopefully by the time I plan on flying the volcano has had enough of spewing ash and goes to sleep for the next 200 years.!!!

I hope it will work out that way! The nice thing about driving is that it doesn't involve airplane travel. I'll bet our dear Miss Jess will second that, after all the headaches she's endured trying to get to her sweetie.
